I don't think Smart would take it. Everything I've read says USC wants to go with Sarkisian anyways.

I saw that USC was down to Franklin and Peterson and Peterson took his name out.

I doubt Smart would take it, but I kinda wish he would. It'd be a good program for him to cut his teeth at before taking over for Saban.

Feldman said the top two were Peterson, who has removed himself from consideration, and Sark. Sark interviewed already according to him. Feldman also said that ESPN's report was wrong in regards to Franklin.
Other folks contend that Franklin is still a strong candidate so who knows
