Did anyone see if the defender had a foot down? I did not think so but wasn't positive. Thought for sure it would be reviewed but wasn't.

I couldn't tell. Was hoping they would show a better replay.

I was screaming for the staff to call Timeout to request a review right after it happened. The kid's feet were in the air when he controlled the ball and he landed out of bounds.

I didn't think he came close to getting a foot down. It was a bad decision that was a product of frustration on AJ's part. No one was getting open and he finally forced one. The second pick was all on him though.

Anybody got a link with a gif or video of that replay cued up?

I think the dummy barely had a foot down, but him jumping made it look like he didn't, I hit rewind and slowed it down and it looked like as soon as he got his hand on the ball he jumped.

It would have been an incomplete pass has Christion not tipped the ball.
The second throw was poor, but the DB made the same play at the ball the HaHa was flagged for targeting in the A&M game.

It did not appear at all that he had a foot down initially, or on the replay (which was not a good angle). IMO, a timeout should have been used.
Nevertheless, AJ was not focused at all. Seems as if the heisman discussion had got in his head. He never throws the ball off his back foot like he did with the second INT, which was 100% his mistake. In fact, I can't remember another instance off the top of my head where he has done that in the past two seasons. (back foot throw)

He clearly got frustrated as the game went on, no one could get open. I think he was focused, but he got mad when he had no one to throw to.

He threw off his back foot a lot against VT including on his INT in that game IIRC
I also was shouting for CNS to call a time out or challenge it. Yesterday CNS basically indicated that it's pointless to challenge a call in college since every play is reviewed automatically. Today he said that he has gone back and watched the play and it was a pick. I'm not so sure.

I dont know, there have been moments the past two games where I have wondered how mentally prepared he was. For instance, in the LSU game first quarter, he missed some wide open reads..just didn't have his eyes down field from what I saw. Then on that one play with jones (I think) in the corner, he was late on the read and just made an awful throw. When I say not focused, I mean he just hasnt appeared to me as the AJ we all know and love. I dont know if it is distraction or just a mid season drop off.

According to the announcers, Jones was likely supposed to run a corner route (where AJ threw it) but when he saw how much separation he had he decided to run a vertical route. It's also possible it was an option route and AJ and CJ read it differently

AJ played like shite for the most part but to be fair his receivers didn't help him at all. I just chalk this up as "after LSU" game....We play like this after LSU week every damn year.

Whatever it was, I have full faith that he will have himself ready (along with Saban help) for Auburn. We really need to go in there and shut them up, and play our BEST game of the year so far (which still hasnt happened IMO)

Says the media told him the player was out of bounds at his post game press conference, but the on field officials told him it was reviewed, the coaches in the box didn't tell him to challenge, so he didn't. After reviewing the tape after the game says the guy was in bounds, so he would have wasted a timeout had he done what the media had wanted him to do.

He got pretty animated about it with the Media guys in the room, so much so he forgot his train of thought about the last INT.
