The students are there, but you can't see them on TV. Can only see empty midcourt seats.

There has to be a way to rearrange things to bring more energy into Coleman. Either make the first come-first serve for the first few home games or even play a few more early season games in Bham.

I totally agree but I don't think it will ever happen because the Tide Pride blue hairs would go nuts if they took their seats. This was my biggest complaint while I was a student. They have the students split up and there is no cohesiveness.I think giving the students better seating and actually gearing seating to promote people being involved could help change the culture but it will never happen because of the money.

Most schools give the best seats to the students for basketball games. Not at Alabama though. We have to preserve those for all of the old fricks who get season tickets and then show up 3 times a year.

Just my opinion, but you shouldn't get point totals for simply buying season tickets. You should get them for actually showing up.

I've been saying this for a while. We may have won that game, but we just got embarrassed on ESPN 2.

Does anyone else think Coleman might be too big for our program?

Size really isn't as much of an issue. If we could just fill up the first few rows behind the bench, that'd be fantastic.

Week night games will always be a challenge to fill, but Bama can fill it with a good product on the court in conference games.

No.

Well, there's no way that it should be.

I love going to games (current student) but I 100% agree that the student section should be court side. When I watch Duke games or other schools that have students court side I think about how much better that would be.

No. Once football season is over, attendance is usually pretty good. Some of y'all may be too young to remember when Wimp was coaching in the 80's and Coleman was filled to the rafters for every game. It was a great environment. But even then, it was pretty empty while football season was still in progress.

A school like Alabama that wants to build their basketball program needs to move students. Kentucky can live with their students behind the basket because they sell out games against the school of the blind. We have to find a way to improve the environment some how.

I can't see them making that much money from these seats anyways.

Sideline seats are not very clse to the court.

Should have torn down Coleman and built a new arena long ago.

I agree. I think we need a smaller arena also. 12k should top it on out at Alabama. You don't need a large arena in basketball, especially at a "football school". He'll even at a basketball school, 12k is plenty.

But something needed to be done with the student section long ago, and it Saban can make the university do something after he complains about students leaving the football games, Grant should publicly bash Tide Pride ticket holders for not even attending the damn basketball games. He won't do it, but he should.

We need to start a petition and email it to Bill Battle...
