Auburn will have at least 3 more games, possibly 4, to finish the season. At this point, the Auburn team has rushed 493 times, for 3,200 yards, and 33 touchdowns (6.5 yards per carry). My question is, how many rushing yards and touchdowns will they end up with?

In 2010, Auburn finished with 652 carries, for 3,987 yards, and 41 touchdowns (6.1 yards per carry). After witnessing our pure dominance that season, I never thought we would be able to duplicate what we did on the field (especially considering the players on the offensive side of the ball that year).

And here's the rest of the SEC in rushing, just for the sake of comparison:
quote:

1) Auburn - 10 (games) 493 (carries) 3200 (yards) 6.5 (YPC) 33 (touchdowns) 320.0 (YPG)
2) Missouri - 10 (games) 412 (carries) 2358 (yards) 5.7 (YPC) 26 (touchdowns) 235.8 (YPG)
3) Arkansas - 10 (games) 397 (carries) 2097 (yards) 5.3 (YPC) 11 (touchdowns) 209.7 (YPG)
4) Mississippi State - 9 (games) 372 (carries) 1887 (yards) 5.1 (YPC) 22 (touchdowns) 209.7 (YPG)
5) Alabama - 9 (games) 326 (carries) 1879 (yards) 5.8 (YPC) 21 (touchdowns) 208.8 (YPG)
6) South Carolina - 9 (games) 373 (carries) 1807 (yards) 4.8 (YPC) 17 (touchdowns) 200.8 (YPG)
7) Texas A&M - 10 (games) 382 (carries) 1988 (yards) 5.2 (YPC) 29 (touchdowns) 198.8 (YPG)
8) Tennessee - 10 (games) 372 (carries) 1859 (yards) 5.0 (YPC) 15 (touchdowns) 185.9 (YPG)
9) LSU - 10 (games) 379 (carries) 1848 (yards) 4.9 (YPC) 29 (touchdowns) 184.8 (YPG)
10) Ole Miss - 9 (games) 356 (carries) 1633 (yards) 4.6 (YPC) 16 (touchdowns) 181.4 (YPG)
11) Georgia - 9 (games) 341 (carries) 1628 (yards) 4.8 (YPC) 17 (touchdowns) 180.9 (YPG)
12) Kentucky - 9 (games) 328 (carries) 1432 (yards) 4.4 (YPC) 14 (touchdowns) 159.1 (YPG)
13) Florida - 9 (games) 380 (carries) 1314 (yards) 3.5 (YPC) 12 (touchdowns) 146.0 (YPG)
14) Vanderbilt - 9 (games) 339 (carries) 1258 (yards) 3.7 (YPC) 27 (touchdowns) 139.8 (YPG)

With talk of Bama's offensive line and RBs, I'm surprised to see them that low on the list.

I'm waiting for someone to point out that Auburn only leads the SEC in rushing because they have so many carries, when Auburn also leads the SEC in yards per carry.

Pure dominance on the ground.

You do know there is this thing called a balanced offense? Also did you not notice Bama was 2nd in YPC?

Auburn has 50% more rushing yards per game than the best rushing team Bama has faced so far this year. Is the Bama rush defense that good or have they simply not been tested?

Really your chart shows that the SEC is pretty bad arse full of good running teams. Damn. Look at all the high YPC teams there are. I think we finish with 3800 and 40 Rushing TD's.

It's called a balanced offense - gotta be able to pass it and run it effectively to win consistantly in this conference.

How many yards and touchdowns will they get vs. Bama?

That's the only thing that matters...

Compare Jeremy Hill's stats vs Aub and vs. Bama. Probably over 100 yards less vs. Bama
