That Joker won't be the next OC after Pease. If it was going to be Joker, it would have happened yesterday. Looks like WM wants to test the market with a new OC. Sounds as if Pease is definitely out, and it makes me wonder if Muschamp is rethinking his philosophy on offense.

A very reliable poster on 247 is pushing for the OC from Fresno State. 
IMO it does not hurt to test the market and get feelers out behind the scenes. Joker can still be plan B.

White is a perfect oc for what muschamp wants. So I sure hope it isn't him. Joker would have been fine...don't see any issue with at least making him temp and seeing what happens.

If UF gets an OC that's not Joker, do y'all think he'll get rid of all the offensive coaches? (obviously impossible to know...basically, are there offensive position coaches that you want to keep?)

I think we would keep Joker unless the OC insisted on his guy. Maybe White as well, he did a good job as a TE coach before.

My post was tongue in cheek about the Fresno State OC. I don't even know his name much less if he's got a good resume or not.
I just saw that play and loved it.
I can't believe people took that serious.
I don't post there much though so I guess I don't have an e-identity on 247.
I'm personally not on the Joker train unless it's for the balance of this year as an audition. That's a win-win because it means Pease is gone.

I think that it's a foregone conclusion at this point that Pease is a walking dead man.

Agreed but why wait when Joker is on staff? Give him a shot for the job or so he can get another job.
Our class is going to suffer with another year of Offensive staff turn-over unless the hire is a home run and happens quickly which it won't.
We are going to be behind another 2 years of recruiting again. This is how UT slipped and fell and stayed down so long.

Yeah, you can't really ditch Joker. His memes alone should secure him a spot on the staff.
Joker seriously wouldn't be a bad option as OC. His offenses at UK were pretty balanced when he had decent talent. It would be interesting to see his offense run with Florida type talent. Plus, you don't have to worry about him leaving in a couple years for a HC position. That's always a concern when you hire an "up and coming" OC.

IMO Muschamp may be rethinking his offensive philosophy. He brought joker in to continue that. You can't promote joker now, then decide to hire someone else later.

I always thought he was going to be the WR coach. I never once thought he was going to take over as OC.

This is the whole point.
Joker will be the OC next year and Pease will be out, according to dmb, and I trust him more than the stuff on GatorCountry and GatorSports.

I don't get it. dmb says you can't hire another OC if you promote Joker. I thought Joker was brought in to replace Pease next year. If so, just do it now and pay Pease his severance and start over for recruiting purposes.
