Bama has the D to get a few stops on LSU. I am not so sure LSU has the D to do the same.

Les does remind me of Slingblade. Thanks! I've been trying to place this for years.

But I thought LSU was supposed to have control of its own destiny going into the Bama game? Which means it has everything to lose.

That's the problem. I can see UA running up and down the field on us. I have a feeling LSU is going to need a whole lot of points.

Compared to last season where the entire season was seemingly based on getting revenge against Bama for the national championship game loss?

If LSU can't fix their secondary, how can they beat Bama? or A&M? Those guys were running around lost yesterday.

If they beat Florida, they have everything to lose. Assuming Bama is undefeated, that will be the game where LSU can take control of their own destiny by winning any tie-breaker between the two teams if both teams win out otherwise. It's not going to be a desperation situation.

Doesn't LSU always play Alabama like they have nothing to lose?

There's no reason to think LSU can't navigate the schedule to that point, if for no other reason than winning shootouts with the opponents. Hopefully ATL will be on the line at that point. We'll see.

Regardless of the fans' attitudes, I'd bet that the LSU players & coaches approach all games with a "nothing to lose" mindset.
