I honestly think these 2 teams are so evenly matched, that it is pretty remarkable.
Both head coaches are held in similar regard (Very good coaches that come under fire pretty regularly)
2 senior QBs that can sling it when they get hot.
2 beastly RBs (Hill and Gurley)
2 defenses that are very talented, but not performing up to standard just yet.

I think it is dead even, so give the slight edge to UGA b/c of home field advantage. That home field is worth one turnover in my opinion. So, if the turnovers are even, UGA wins. If UGA wins turnover battle, UGA wins. If LSU wins turnover battle by 1, it is a toss up. If LSU wins turnover battle by 2 or more, LSU wins.

Here's to an injury free, low penalized game. The weather looks like it won't be a factor and both teams are relatively healthy for this point in the season. Also, a loss in this game costs UGA a shot at the national title, but they still will control destiny in the SEC. A loss by LSU in this game does not eliminate the possibility of a national title, and LSU would still contol it's destiny in the SEC. I'm pumped.

LSU's D is better, and will win the turnover battle.

Seems pretty fair and objective. I'm impressed.

And I agree with you btw, although my only discrepancy would be with the UGA being -1 and still winning. I won't feel comfortable predicting a win with us losing the TO battle even if only by 1. We need to have zero giveaways on the day, period.

very solid analysis

I think UGA takes this one at home. Should be a great game.

Georgia wins this game big. They are at home and are way more battle tested at this point than LSU. Good luck to the other dawgs

This was a very objective view of the game.
I don't really agree with your turn over theory, but to each their own.

However, stop being a pussy and hate the team we are playing.

It's funny how all 6 of the Georgia posters are acting like LSU posters are talking about shite kicking them when the posts are like this one or mine from earlier:

I think Georgia being at home will provide them with a really nice advantage. I expect a close contest not unlike the 2009 tilt, but higher scoring with defense at the end, instead of offense at the end. I think the winner probably wins by a touchdown or less. I'm leaning Georgia, but we'll see as it gets closer.

What a victim mentality, fellas. Get it together.

Good summation.

Another aspect LSU definitely has the edge on is Special Teams. In all 3 games thus far, UGA has committed ST's mistakes, including giving up 14 points to NORTH TEXAS on special teams.

If Beckham gets 14 on ST's then it's game over.

our defense hasn't shown it is better on the field. how are you so certain we will win the turnover battle?

not so fast. our punter shanks about 1 out of every 3 punts, no exaggeration. our FG kicker is not tested at all, i think his longest is 28 yards. our punt returner (beckham) is very good, but our coverage teams aren't stellar, we gave up long return touchdown against TCU.

The dawgs as usual are good enough to beat any team in the country on any given day. With a senior qb who is one of the best we have seen in recent memory, it all comes down to pressure and converting third downs. Whoever converts third down regularly will help their defense and most likely that will get the win.

I think LSU will embarrass Georgia. There's no way that they'll be able to keep it close with that shitty defense. LSU's offensive line will bulldoze them every play and they wont be able to defend the run or pass. If LSU's defense plays as good as it usually does, LSU wins.

I only see Georgia winning if they get lucky with turnovers.

Wait, Burt Reynolds thinks UGA will lose? I'm psychic and I didn't see that one coming.

I agree, except I think LSU's D has a slight edge over UGA.

But it's in Athens.

It's a toss up in my opinion.

But I still got a hundo on the Tigahs
