The two best teams in the SEC might be Ga and LSU

Ga's defense showed improvement vs USC, if their high powered offense can carry the load long enough to allow their defense to improve more, I could see Ga beating anyone in the SEC title game.

LSU has been able to beat every team in the SEC without a QB that can pass or having quick striking ability. Now LSU legitimately has both to go along with its pounding running game. I acknowledge LSU's defense isn't playing as great now as in the past, but it has the talent and coaching to be great towards the end of the season.

Both Ga and LSU just need time, they might be the two best teams by the end of the SEC season. If LSU were to lose in OT to Ga then win out against one of the toughest schedules in the SEC, it would be a shame not to see the two best teams playing again in the SEC title game.

Bama's D gave up 600 yds of offense, gave up 28 pts in one half even though Bama's offense had the ball first in the second half. No amount of time can fix that!

UGA will be LSU's only real test this year. That's why the gumps are overcompensating right now.

Arkansas and Ole Miss might be the best. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I tend to agree and think UGA in particular is the last team you want to line up against late this season. Their D just needs some more games under their belt.

LSU may currently be the best team in the SEC. Hard to say where bama is right now. They are right there with LSU and UGA. JFF and that A&M offense are on another level and just ridiculous. Wouldn't be surprised to see bama's D abuse everyone else they face this year.

Of the teams mentioned thus far, aTm, Bama, Georgia and LSU, only one hasn't played a good team yet. How can you predict anything until this happens?

I wish there was a way to know for certain. Like maybe a season in which we arrange contests involving said teams. Then, after the conclusion of the season, we could indicate which team was the best by awarding such team with a relic of some value.

That would be much better than all this guessing, wouldn't it?

Easily LSU is the best team.

This team surpasses 2011 in every category.

Now if we could only come up with a few nicknames for players it'd be like deja vu all over again.

Agreed. We sold our souls to attempt to contain JFFs scrambling. As a result he had a longer time back there to dissect our defense with cornerbacks on an island than most quarterbacks will have.

Knee jerk reactions are always fun. Sometimes they are accurate, but most of the time they are face palm worthy. Kind of like Geno Smith winning the September Heisman last year. That worked really well for WV later in the year.

The amount of yards Alabama gave up has more to do with how good our offense is. The two best teams in the SEC played each other yesterday. LSU has a win against TCU, who scored all of 10 points against a rebuilding Texas Tech team, and Kent State.....Kent freaking State. You haven't played anyone yet. Georgia is going to destroy you.

He did in 2007.

This team's offense is much better than the past few seasons. This defense does not have the experience and talent that the 2011 D had. That defense was stacked with Brockers, Claiborne, plus the 2012 LSU defensive stars.

Going to be a hard road to Atlanta after losing to Auburn and Georgia in back to back weeks.
