So is Clowney gonna play like he did tonight against us? Should have charged him admission price. Looks like he may have "Going Pro Flu"

Looked gassed after a couple of series. I was shocked at how out of shape he seemed.

Plays by his own rules and conditioning is obviously not at the top of them. He will be running all week to get over this hump.

It is now obvious we need to run a fast paced offense and go side line to side line in that game.

Struggling against UNC is unforgivable but the OBC may have been sandbagging.

Yes, y'all might as well not even gameplan for him. Change your offense next week to exactly what UNC did and y'all will eliminate Clowney...although you might not score many points, but if you eliminate Clowney that means everything and there's a huge moral victory trophy for it.

The announcers couldn't stop talking about him, as if he was the only defensive player on the field.

Well judging by his performance against UNC it doesn't seem like it's going to take much to take him out of the equation.

news flash:

defensive linemen get tired through the course of a game and often get substituted for a drive to rest

Did you not happen to take note of the number of plays where he pretty much just gave up even trying to push into the backfield, long before the ball was gone? He took plays off. Not a few. A LOT. That's an issue.

Just a fair point here: We have a lot more in terms of weapons to use in such an offensive scheme than UNC.

It really doesn't matter what we think since we aren't coaching or playing but if any of you are expecting Clowney to look sluggish, take plays off or not be a factor next week just need to rewatch the past 2 UGA/USC games.

Clowney has always taken plays off. This is the first time I have seen him look that gassed that often .

Supposedly Clowney was up all night with a stomach virus the night before the game.

He'll likely have his best game of the year against us.

Believe me, I've been around long enough to know this. I expect next week to be much different for him. Still, there's always the possibility that the "me" mentality is getting the best of him.

In the second series of the game...and then throughout the game? He disappeard for HUGE chunks of the game..standing on the sideline.

Of course, Sutton looked pretty darn good.

I agree. Sutton looked pretty solid last night. I was more impressed with him than I was Clowney. He at least looked like he was "all in" when he was on the field.
