A simple google search will tell you the University of South Carolina was founded in 1801 and the University of Southern California was not founded until 1880-that's 79 years later. Most of us know this country was settled east to west. It seems like we should refer to that school in Cali as "USCw", right?

It started way back in 03 when USCw mattered. The reference infuriated them and USCe fans couldn't give two shits so it was perfect.

USCw -> Southern Cal
USCe -> South Carolina
USCe -> South Carolina

Southern cal claims SC. Espn is apparently pushing for southern cal to be referred to exclusively by their acronym for some reason.
