I know one of them is right across the street, which one is that? Also are there others nearby within walking distance? I am contemplating making this trip, to watch Coach Grantham bitch slap James Franklin. Also, never been and it would be another notch in my stadiums visited belt.

The Marriott is right across the street. Go to hotels.com, enter your dates, click map view. Find "Vanderbilt University" on the map, and see which hotels are nearby and available

Holiday Inn-Vanderbilt is across Natchez Trace on the west side of the stadium on West End Ave right by Dudley Field.
Actually in the early to mid 1970's, Dudley was in the midst of a very slow construction project involving the visitor's locker room. They bascially had a 'meeting facility' for halftime. The opposing team would stay at the Holiday Inn, get dressed there, walk to the game and walk back to the hotel after the game, right with the crowd.

Right now, the only hotels available for the Georgia-Vanderbilt game that are within walking distance to the stadium is:
Hampton Inn & Suites Vanderbilt Elliston Place ($329/night)
There are a couple that may be within walking distance, depending on how far you actually want to walk. I suggest something different, given the price. You can find a lot nicer hotel for cheaper, you just have to drive

I stayed there back in March. Watched the Illinois-Chicago baseball team walk through the snow from the hotel to the stadium. They lost 8-0.

What would we do without Tigerdroppings to help our daily questions.

The sad thing is if this thread were an Alabama fan asking about hotels within walking distance to Tiger Stadium (or vice versa), it would've been assumed as some sort of subtle flame thread and it would burst out into a pissing match. You can't make a thread without being accused of having trolling intentions

When we up for the Auburn/Vandy game in 2008, we stayed out on the east side of town, near the airport. We were going to the Opry Friday night, so it was an easy drive up there, and then on game day it was an easy drive into town. There was a parking deck on the Vandy campus (I think it faces West End Avenue) that was a breeze to get into. Right across the street were several restaurants, and then it was a quick walk (maybe 4 blocks) to the stadium area.

Beat the rush and book one for 2014 at the Staring Motel on Staring Lane south of campus off Highland.
Sorry--couldn't resist.

Just stay somewhere a few miles away for cheaper and park at the Mcdonalds by the stadium. They don't advertise this, but if you walk inside and ask for a parking sticket they'll give you one for $5.
