for paying Tunsil $300,000 for his commit

Total horse shite. The funny thing is that, in fact, we spread around less than about $50,000 for ALL of last year's signing class, and it wasn't even to the marquee recruits. That total is less than a lot of other schools paid for a single player.

Yeah, when the NCAA announces that Ole Miss went on probation due to the detailed evidence contained in an anonymous Internet post, I will feel just awful. As for ecred, IDGAF.

It's likely don't know what you're talking about. But if you actually do, no one really gives a shite because its the Internet.

Anyone can report you to the NCAA. They look into it, then they find something. All because a Miss St. fan saw what you posted and reported it. Is it really worth it? I know you gained 10 cool points for talking about our cheating though so I understand bud

I just thought it ironic that all this talk about our recruiting success last year centered on us getting some marquee players, when in fact those recruits signed with us for reasons totally unrelated to money. To the extent any money got spread around, it was minimal by comparison, and didn't even go to the marquee recruits that raised eyebrows. The idea of Tunsil getting 300 large is absurd.

If anyone is naive enough to think that there's any major football program that doesn't have its boosters steer big bucks to recruits' families on the regular, fine.

Yeah, I can really see this happening at NCAA headquarters when the complaint arrives in the mail:

"Boss, we just received a tip from Mr. Cowbell Clanger that a Mr. Teetering Brink has posted on the interwebs some startling information about recruiting violations."

Boss: "Make this a top priority. See if the website will give you the IP address, then ask the ISP for a name and address. Tell our best investigator to drop everything and fly down to talk with Mr. Brink and see if he's willing to provide documentation. Spare no effort or expense in tracking this down."

Geesh, and you were the one asking if I was stupid?

It's just sad that there's a place on the internet (or anywhere, really) where Coonass has a valid, respected opinion.

Bingo. They are being dead serious. They seriously think we paid one recruit $300,000.

That's a 3 followed by five zeros. That is what we paid for one offensive line recruit while Auburn paid over 100 grand less for Cam. And we supposedly spent $1.75 million on the entire class? They're out of their damn mind if they believe that.
Like I said last night, I need someone to post a link to a person saying that on there because there's no way anyone is that dumb.

FWIW I have a buddy that went on there after I told him about it and he said they are all claiming our players were betting on games and that the rumor has legs. And some believe they bet on our own games and "in the know" rebs are worried. I just can't believe people are that stupid. Scientists need to monitor and study them.
