Did Butch Jones try to hire Chavis?

Did he reach out to the former Vol? If not, why? I know their defense certainly could've used him after last year, but I guess I never heard much about it

Because he knew Chavis would never leave?
He may have played for Tennessee but he's got it too good in Baton Rouge to think about leaving imo

Cause Chavis sucks balls when he isn't given a defense with first round picks across the board and is too lazy to recruit. So basically he's given #1 at LSU and #2 he doesn't have to worry about either unlike at UT when its the top priority due to lack of local talent.
And Butch for whatever reason pretty much brought the whole Cincy staff here which I strongly disagree with but its whatever.. guess its what he's most comfortable with.
