Looking for some help in planning a trip to the LSU/UGA game. Does anyone have info on how their parking situation is?
How hard is it to get an RV spot/pass?
When do they open the parking lots? (Checked the UGA site and they only mention that on campus residents have to vacate by 5pm on Friday before a home game for certain lots)
Any general info on the free parking lots and how easy it is to get a spot there near one of the RV lots Friday afternoon?
Any help would be appreciated.

There are some parking spots a ways away from the stadium. You'll have to commute. Parking spots are serious business in Athens.

For general parking you can park for free at the intramural fields near east campus off of River Road. Or you can park at my secret lot for free (but that's a secret). There are pay lots downtown and around the parking decks on campus.
Don't know about RV's. We're not like Auburn where we have a ton of pasture to park those big boys.

I parked at the East Campus Deck garage. It was sort of a walk, but it wasn't a bad walk. Easy to get in and get out too. It's pretty much right at one of the entrances to campus and not far from Perimeter Rd.

Every time I have gone for the day, I park over around Varsity. Good burgers and a mid-length walk to the stadium.

There are University owned RV lots and various commercial lots that will host RVs for games around town.
If in a regular car, parking at the East Campus Village or Intramural Fields on South Campus is free. Shuttles run from ECV to the East side of Sanford Stadium (which is mid campus) pre-game, but you'll have to hoof it down River Road or East Campus Road post-game.
Otherwise, be prepared to pay $30+ downtown or around Athens for parking.

Thanks for the info guys.
Does anyone know if the university lots are first come/ first served? Or are they all pass only? Also - what time do they open?

Most of the lots are first come first serve. North campus deck (the biggest one closest to the stadium) is $20 first come. It's between the stadium and downtown and close to the library and the best part of campus.
