Good for him. If he keeps his head on straight, they could have a great offense.

They could beat Florida without him.

So I guess they would be East Champions.

4-4

They could run through their easy schedule though without a loss and maybe be a possible buster. They would prolly get killed by a two loss Bama team though in the championship game.

Irrelevent IMO. Louisville cared. Florida didn't.

Teams that care win

Isnt that what it is about?

What ever the reason. They won. In a BCS bowl.

I hope the kid does well and has put his life on the right track. I will always remember him for his "not down" run in the BCS game..

A number of teams don't care in the bowl games. If the game was in the regular season where both teams care, then it has merit in projecting how Louisville may do in the SEC. The Sugar Bowl win was nice but means nothing in projection terms.

So you think UF coached by Will Muschamp went into that game thinking "ahh we don't care just let them win and let's not play hard"?

Basically, no.

I have a really hard time believing Florida didn't care about a BCS bowl. It's not like they were screwed out of the Championship game, they didn't even play in the SEC Championship. Louisville, and specifically Bridgewater, just outplayed them

Coaches always care but it was clear by the way the players played, it did not mean much to the Florida players. At least not compared to louisville. Beating Florida was Louisville's natty title game. They were playing for respect because Lousiville has been a mid major school forever til they just joined the ACC. And while the Big Least had an auto BCS bid they were rightfully not respected as a legit BCS conference. That game meant everything to louisville and was just another game to the Florida players.

Louisville was the better team. That's all you can really say about it.
