Doesn't hurt when you watch primetime NFL game and they mention two or three Mizzou alum players in the game. Also doing a story on Maclin and him painting a good picture of HCGP on national television doesn't hurt either.

With Pelini gone at NU. Wonder what this does for the Davis twins thought process on their commit status? Could just come on down to Mizzou I guess. We'd take'm.

Just found this laying around today.......
Spoke to Carlos Davis. He says that Mizzou has been recruiting him and that he will talk things over with his brother before deciding on officially opening his recruitment in the wake of Bo Pelini's dismissal. Davis says that he plans to listen to other schools and may part ways with Nebraska. I asked him if I should keep he and his brother on Nebraska's commitment list. He said "yeah, keep us there for now."
I asked him specifically about a possible flip to Mizzou:
"That will be something I consider," he replied.

Sounds promising.
Add them to Beckner and possibly Williams and Howard and that would be a great DL class.

If we land Beckner, Davis twins, Doherty, and Hentges, that would be Mizzou's best class ever.

Did Hentges open back up? Isn't he a Bama commit?
As for the Davis twins I hope they take a hard look at mizzou. All the scouts and broadcasters calling mizzou DLineU. Same for bekner. Hope he sees what's going on with MU dlineman. Two possible (likely) first found picks this year. Why would you wanna go anywhere else to be a dlineman?

Still a Bama commit. Hasn't officially opened it back up. Did go to the MU/Arky game. Some rumors of an official to Mizzou in January and that he is hemming and hawing on his commitment. Having said that, he just attended the Iron Bowl which had to be awesome and has said all along he's always been willing to talk to the staff whenever they want to talk.

Reuben Jones has been contacted by Mizzou this morning since the news broke. Told Rivals he will probably visit Mizzou now.
Also, word on PM is that Doherty's trip to Oregon did not go well. His coach said he'd be surprised if Doherty did not commit to Mizzou on his visit. He's scheduled to visit 12/5, but now that we're in the SECCG it will probably be the weekend after.
Nate Howard OV'd to Wisconsin this weekend, but said he's still going to OV to Mizzou. He said he's excited about both schools being in their conference CG. This one is far from over, but we have a good shot to flip him.
