Oh I get what we're talking about. Hurry Up No Huddle?
Nick wants the rules changed because that's what beat him. If he was concerned about player safety he would have taken your boy who decapitated Murray off the field.

We are talking about 17 plays a game. How many starters are in all of those snaps? Probably none. I'd wager any starter at most is in only a few...maybe 3 or 4 and many in none.
Its a stretch for sure.

When you're an LSU fan you can't say shite about whining..

When you are defending a punt and a kick, you are not defending a HUNH offense but... You punted 50 times last year. That is 3.5 a game. You had 90 PATs and FGs. That is 6.4 a game. You kicked off 99 times. That is 7.0 times a game. That is 81.
The 64 does not includes punts, kicks, etc.. from what I just found. FWIW

and Nick you didn't play over 80 plays a game, you played 898 plays. Over a 14 game season, that was 64.1 a game.

Well your boy Murry shouldn't have ran to that side of the field....people tend to get KTFO.

Which coach was it that said somethign to the effect of, if saban was worried about player safety he'd stop recruiting monsters that destroy everyone (obviously i'm paraphrasing).
I think he was genuine when he came up with this complaint, it didn't get the groundswell he expected and now he's dancing around it. I doubt he'll speak much more on the issue going forward (unless of course bama loses to one of these HUNH teams, but i don't see that happening.)
and if he wants it go at an NFL pace then he should want roster contraction too.

So he wants less football? If that is the issue, let's shorten the games and play fewer games. If we play zero games, there would be far fewer injuries and much less cumulative effect.

The last three IBs he faced a HUNH offense, Auburn ran 55, 61, and 59 offensive plays. That is 58.3 a game. He went 2-1 in those games outscoring the HUNH offense 98-63.
I'd say he has the answer for the HUNH offense pretty well so I am not sure why he is questioning it at all. Ball control and 3 and outs do the trick.

How many injuries did Oregon suffer the past few years?
They are the epitome of a HUNH offense. If there aren't many injuries there then I don't think his theory is anything more than a hypothesis.

You have to look at the teams defending Oregon and thier injuries...not the Oregon offense.
Nick and Bret are concerned about thier players safety when facing a HUNH offense.

quote:I don't know why Nick's pressing the issue either really. We all know that if one component stymies a Saban coached team in one game, then his OCD will kick in and he will work tirelessly till he finds a way to rectify the problem. So aTm's offense tired out Bama's defense the 1st qtr of the game last year. Nick/Kirby obviously made adjustments and slowed it down the rest of the game. Didn't result in a win, but you win some you lose some. No point in harping on the HUNH shite when almost half the SEC teams will be using it this season.

Change your defensive coaching technique, get your defensive signals down and call in plays from the sidelines - do it faster than you normally and your studs will adjust and execute.

You're wrong. Don't tell Saban how to do math. If anyone knows how to divide, it's him. Just look what he's done to the LSU fanbase.
This was funny but the LSU fan base has been the way it is since long before Nick Saban was around.

Hall Monitor Nick really needs to get on board with a weight limit rule since he's so concerned with player safety now. Those fat frick, mouth breathing NT's he loves to recruit are endangering their own health by participating in such a rigorous sport.
Maybe limit blitzes, too.
