that were recruited by the Pinkel regime? So the last 10-12 years. Not on the practices squad (Tim Barnes) but actually played and started.

I'm going to be positive and say that I am hopeful that Henson's new system will hopefully create the type of linemen that will have success in the NFL. I don't know that Yost's system developed that type of player.

idk if this counts but Boehm will be among those players if he played like he did this year

Rob Droege maybe? I can't think of any OL that are playing.

Interesting though that even though our defense is criticized for being soft, they've put a bunch in the NFL...

Palmer might have started a game with the rams. I think Brown has started a couple of games in his career, too.

That is why we cannot recruit big time O Linemen. No history of Pinkel being able to get a O Lineman into the NFL.

You mean like Freeman, Demien, Gatti, Boehm, Rhodes?

We don't get a plethora, but Pinkel has plenty of OL talent. That isn't Mizzou's problem.

Any recruiter: Johnny Recruit (OL) when you watch NFL games you watch the line play don't you?

Johnny Recruit: Yes

Any recruiter: Who is your favorite Mizzou lineman who is in the NFL right now?

Johnny Recruit: ummmm ummmmm ahhhhh

Any recruiter: Johnny it is a trick question. There are none since Gary Pinkel took over at Missouri.

Any recruiter: Mr. and Mrs. Recruit Missouri cannot give your son the coaching it takes to get Johnny in the NFL. My school has a good track record in getting O Linemen into the NFL.

That is ALL any recruiter has to say to get Bauer, Johnson, Wallace.....

No it wasn't. The OL last year was very good at moving the LoS in the run game despite being almost all 2nd stringers and VERY young. The problem last year was the OC's "need" to pass. The coaches failed to adapt to the players they had.

When we lined up and ran, we could move the chains slowly but steadily. It would have rested our defense a ton more and eliminated the turnover issues. I'm so glad Yost is gone now.

I am hoping that with Henson running the offense, we see some positive changes. There will be some injuries, but with the added experience from last year, I'm excited to see the line play this year. Really excited to see how Boehm plays at center.

The O line was NOT an asset last year. And I am not complaining about the players, I am complaining about the coaching. Bad recruiting and sub par coaching. 17 scholarship O lineman on the team and the coaching staff had confidence in only 8. A lot of players playing hurt and not the bumps and bruises kind of hurt. The kind of hurt they should not have been in there.

If you look on the SEC Rant on this site you will see that someone has put a link up that has 4 publications rankings of the SEC O lines for this year. The best ranking for MU is 11 and the worse is 14 (last). Let us not kid ourselves about our O line and how this coaching staff has not done a good job with it.

Not sure if you were responding to me or just responding in general, but I'm pretty much on the same page as you. I'm hoping with Henson taking over more control of the offense, things will change on the line. Add to that additional experience with some of the kids that wouldn't have otherwise been playing last year and I am hopeful that those kind of rankings don't have us dead last if they're done again at the end of the year.

Reedus just talking in general. This line has to improve 1000% or it will be another tough year.
It all starts in the trenches. I could care less what conference you are in. It all starts with the Big Uglies !!!

I could have sworn there was a post-spring depth chart that came out. Am I dreaming or does anyone know where to find it? I can't find it if it exists so I'm leaning towards I'm crazy(opening the door for ya mogray).
