How upset would you be?
Personally I think the tators need to cut that rock bandit some slack. He's just an immature 18 yr. old.
If one of our own had kidnapped sir big spur out of a sheer obsession with the Gamecock organization I feel I would lobby for a lenient punishment.
This assuming he was return unharmed.

Dont care about pet chickens obviously, but......
If someone were to get past the mortars and then the laser beam alarm system which protects Uga.......and they were to successfully kidnap his arse.....well....
I'm not saying whether I do or do not condone the following.....................but I'm pretty sure there would be a lynching.

I would want the kid arrested, especially if he was stupid enough to be caught. I probably wouldn't go on a social media or message board warpath though. We can always just get another rooster.

When they were posting his phone number, parent's address, his dad's business info, etc... that was pretty harsh stuff, but they're all taters, so I don't care.

Disagree, it should be the same punishment no matter who it was. That's hopefully how the law works.
I think you're a much more compassionate person that I am, that's probably a good thing.

I'll hand someone 1k if they can not only catch a Gamecock. But they can also handle the amount of pain that will come along with that task. They don't go along nicely like a stupid fricking door stop of a rock would. Unless they trust you.

There is an heirarchy. Sure. It's not spoken out loud, but it exists nonetheless.

I'd was his arse severely beaten until he thought he was going to die.
When I was in the 82nd I was a member of the White Falcons, 2/325th. (Long time ago.) Well, they took away our white falcon mascot, (live falcon), because of some endangered species crap. So our battalion commander got us a white gamecock to replace it ... we called it Foghorn. We'd take him to the field with us, he'd jump out of airplanes with us in a kit bag. Damn rooster had about 500 jumps because he was jumping with every squad, every platoon, every company in the entire battalion.
He was always under guard by the battalion CQ at night, tethered to our flag pole. But one night this idiot from another battalion got drunk and managed to steel our rooster and he rang his neck and plucked him out behind Charlie Company's barracks.
Well, he was caught in the act and before the MPs could arrive he was beaten half to death ... busted jaw, concussion, cracked ribs, lost some teeth.
He had it coming for being a dick head.
You gotta protect what's yours.
It's up to whatever the taterheads want to do to that kid that busted up that rock - that's their call. But if someone stole and killed Sir Big Spur, there would be hell to pay IMHO.

what if I told you we used a different rooster every game? Sir Big Spur is replaceable whether you like it or not.
Clemson's rock is and has always been utterly stupid. they could replace the rock in an instant and none of their fans would know the difference.

I think Jefferson was implying having stickers for teams we EXPECT to beat was silly, so the "Beat Georgia" sticker from the pick would be silly too. We expect to beat Ole Miss, UGA, UK, Mizzou etc....
