He wasn't really looking for a response from Bama fans. He's trying to troll me specifically.

Maybe, maybe not. OM has never won in Tuscaloosa so we won't be winning at your place that's for sure. And if Saban retires State could sneak up on y'all unexpectedly.

We usually struggle at home. Might be next year with the new QB.

You hardly ever struggle with us(or state for that matter). Combined the MS teams have only won 26 games against y'all. So I'm not getting my hopes up this year or for the future. I do love TTown though.

OM maybe once or twice. State won't. Mullen isn't good enough and they won't take the risk of firing him. There is a reason he hasn't gotten any job offers after turning State into a consistent bowl team.

Ole Miss has won once in Tuscaloosa, in 1988. It essentially got Bill Curry fired.

I don't think State is built offensively to ever threaten a talented Alabama team. Even after Nick Saban retires. If the successor is hot garbage, Alabama would very well end up like it was in the Shula years, but I don't foresee that right now. Alabama recruits itself, for the most part, but still needs a competent coach.

If Ole Miss continues to recruit the way they are they will be able to compete with Alabama. We aren't unbeatable.

We certainly aren't, but Alabama and Ole Miss haven't been on the same level, in terms of talent, since the early 1960s. It is something we'll have to wait and see evolve over the coming years.

Let's just hope our players think differently.

I hope our players think they are beatable. Otherwise, they may not prepare as hard as they should.

But, I also hope they know they are capable of beating anyone and everyone if they prepare.

It's hard to say... but for some reason, whenever we lose to a Mississippi team in the past 20 years, it has been State.

Ole Miss' recruiting has gotten them to the point where they probably won't ever be overlooked.

When we lose to a Mississippi school next, I expect Saban to have departed, and it end up something like that 2007 game in Starkville, where we just blow the game on stupid mistakes.

I'll never forget leaving Starkville that day, seeing people climbing the trees outside the stadium ringing cowbells in trees and thinking, "Have we really just lost 2 in a row to these guys?"

At least we don't have to deal with losing to State too often. 1980 was the first time in 40 years. I can't even imagine what that was like. We didn't lose again to them until 1996. I remember that one. I caught shite for it, because I lived in Mississippi at the time. Then again in 1997 and 1998. Hell, it was four out of five at one point. God, I hated living there through that.

I moved back to Alabama in 2001, started school at Alabama and we didn't lose to them at all while i got two degrees from UA. Then, low-and-behold, we lose in 2006 and 2007 to them and "old friends" come out of the wood work to remind me.

But we're 76–17–3 all-time versus Mississippi State. Hell, we're 50–8–2 versus Ole Miss. But I think OM's ability to bring in a decent amount of top talent will pave the way for them to be far more competitive against us than State in the coming years.

It'll be OM if any of them, but I still remember getting Croomed... ugh. It won't happen under Saban whenever/if it does happen.

I don't care who the coach is, anytime MissSt beats Bama in the future.......it WILL be referred to as getting Croom'd.

Can't win them all...one of them are bound to make a run to the SECC at least once in my lifetime.
