Arkansas alum, did a hell of a job at Tulsa, doing an even better job at Kansas.

Lance Harter is mediocre at best.

Yes, multiple All-American from 1980-1983, this is when McDonnell really got it ramped up and overtook UTEP as the power in track, and he never relinquished our position of dominance.

I saw where the USC track coach is retiring after 19 years. Coached men and women and only won 1 women's title. McDonnell fricked up track HoF voting for coaches, it's impossible to replicate or come close to what he was able to do.

I certainly haven't been impressed with our performances ever since he retired. We shouldn't have to settle for what we have now.

We had the talent to win yesterday. Hell, we SHOULD have won.
A few just didn't perform up to their potential.
A few more points in the pole vault and long/triple jump (we used to OWN that, and I know we fought injuries there this year) and we would have had it.

If Batchelor wasn't injured then we would have won yesterday. We probably should have won anyway but he would have allowed us to win it without being perfect.

I'm still not a huge Bucknam fan but he did a very good job this year and should have had two titles to his credit.

It is good to have a sport though, I guess, where finishing 3rd in the nation is a bit disappointing.
