No, he skipped the meeting to avoid being served if I remember correctly.

He was subpoenaed to witness in a lawsuit. I can't remember what the details are, but I think I heard the case either got settled or dropped altogether.

He did that in maybe 2002 (I can't remember). But he was actually served in 2008

I think it had something to do with the whole Logan Young, Roy Adams, Tom Culpepper, Ronnie Cotrell thing and the meeting that took place at Jimmy Haslam's place.

Eta: Here we go, it was about Fulmer being the one that ratted-out the Tide: LINK

It did. I just don't remember who filed the suit. It wasn't Young obviously

I think it was a defamation suit, but I'm probably wrong about that

It was Ronnie Cotrell and Tom Culpepper suing Fulmer for illegally taping Culpepper, without his knowledge, and for defamation where Cotrell is concerned. I'm pretty sure both settled out of court and got big bucks. I know Tom did, I'm not sure about Cotrell but I heard rumors he got well into six figures.

He didn't show up at media days because he didn't want to 'accidentally' fall up a flight of stairs and die while carrying a bowl of salad.

Exactly. Bama was upset that Fulmer "ratted them out", when no other SEC coach would do such a sleazy thing. LINK
