The DP ends up costing MUCH more due to the endless appeals added with the years it takes for it to actually happen.
Give her the DP. Odds are she said that to the media b/c she thinks that will sway the sentencing to be the opposite of what she supposedly wants. She wants to live. If she didn't she wouldn't have gone through the circus of lies over the years with this case.

You've never heard the story of the br'er rabbit? It was a big tale when I was a kid.
Br'er rabbit was his name. He was caught by the fox. The fox was going to eat him but the rabbit pleaded, oh yes, please eat me, just don't throw me in the brier patch ... with the thorns and the snakes. So the fox, being wicked, though he would do the cruelest thing possible and threw the rabbit in the brier patch thinking it was the worst thing he could do to the rabbit ... then it hit him, the rabbit's name was br'er rabbit for a reason ... he wanted to be thrown in the brier patch. The rabbit got away.
That's what this broad is doing. She's saying, kill me instead of life imprisonment because my family has a history of long life, she said she's never smoked ... she's hoping they give her life rather than killing her, but she's playing the br'er rabbit routine. She's a pathological liar and manipulator.
