No offense, but that's a dumb way to rate it. He's saying that if you work your butt off at recruiting and are really good at it, and have more draft picks than another school, they may still be "better" because they have less to work with due to them being lousy recruiters. That's nonsense.

Move Vandy down, Alabama and Florida up, and there's your list.

So getting the second most players drafted is obviously a middle of the pack.

The first study done by Emory was so bad, I couldn't read that link with any confidence in what they were saying.

I think the fact this was done by the Emory Business School says something. A business guy will always look at every question as cost vs. benefit/income. Always. The doofuses are trying to fit this question into a cost/benefit study, and I guarantee you some business egghead early on decided 5* recruits cost more than 3* recruits. (Keep your payoff jokes to yourself.) The only thing they cost is time and effort, and of course you have to be good at it.

The other problem is the "study" only covers this year, and so ignores the class distribution of the football team. Granted, LSU screws up this argument by losing so many underclassmen to the draft, but in general it holds.

i don't know what it says.

the last study was nfl players per 4 and 5 star recruits.

and obviously since half of the nfl draft is made up of 3 star players, the schools that don't sign 4 and 5 star players were deemed the best at developing nfl players.

totally pathetic journalism.

the article would have been better stating that 3 star recruits make the nfl equally as 4 and 5 star recruits.
that some kids grow 3-4 inches while in college.
that some kids haven't peaked in their junior years of high school.

you can say that it's business.
i say that it's pathetic journalism.
