Worley, Peterman, or Dobbs (is he redshirting?)?

Does Worley start out the year and Peterman finish?

I haven't liked what I've seen from Worley in the small sample size I've gotten to see, but this is a fresh new year and regime. I'm giving everyone a clean slate to prove themselves.

I think it will be (hope) Peterman or Dobbs. I'm not a fan of Worley, tbh. Also, Peterman was offered by CBJ at Cincinnati and Dobbs obviously at UT. Does anyone know if Worley was offered when he was at Cincy? I'd like to think Jones would want one of his guys to run the offense.

Didn't Worley play in a air raid type of spread in HS?

Hopefully Peterman, I thought Worley was underwhelming when he did get on the field.

To his defense though, he's been in some brutal games.

I believe so. He had 5k+ yds and 60+ td's his senior year.

I'll bet anything Worley transfers after this year. He doesn't fit.

I will go with peterman. Heard nothing but good things about the kid.

Worley's arm strength doesn't impress me. That coupled with shitty decision making is not a good thing.

He was never said to have Bray's arm, but I would be willing to bet that shitty decision making was a direct result if shittier coaching. I think the latter has been upgraded, so lets see if the former is as well.

I don't disagree with the coaching aspect. I meant to add that it doesn't seem that a really strong arm is a premium in the current offense. It's obvious that the kid was put in some really tough games as well.

Either way, I am personally glad Bray is gone (because of attitude) and hopefully the successor kills it.

It's impossible not to. Stale dog shite would have been an upgrade.

Honestly, I would've had the same attitude with Doolander at the helm. I don't hold it against Bray.

Agree completely, Bray may have been a punk when he first came here but I highly doubt a coach like Saban hasn't had a freshman come in a punk and then leave a senior as a good leader.

A good coach can make a kid understand the importance of things like attitude and humility

Eh, agree to disagree. I don't believe in blaming personal shortcomings on shitty leadership. I just think it shows his immaturity. Bad attitudes are cancerous in a locker room. I hope he does well in the league, but he has a ton of growing up to do.

Edit: I do see your point on how shitty coaching would affect him, I just don't think that's what caused him to act like a vag.

I think Peterman wins out but Worley seems to be holding his own early in Spring.

I feel like for the first 5-6 games it will be Worley then depending on how each of them plays, Petermen could get to start (ala Bray/Sims) but I feel like Worley will be good enough to keep the job

I agree with 98. I don't see Worley fitting into Butch's gameplan, he's not a runner at all. But he does have at least some experience and I think he gets a few games to prove himself. If he doesn't, he gets yanked with the quickness.

Worley has been much better than Peterman in practice so far.

Bump.

The thread on the recruiting board made me wonder if anyone felt any different at this point. Plus, I didn't want all those other boobs to whine about UT posters.

So, looks like Worley will prob start, but I don't think he will finish the season as the starter.

What are you brommar gaddafis thinking?
