Ryan swope's draft analysis on nfl.com

Nfl.com lists swope's biggest weakness as straight line speed. Swope is currently the 3 fastest guy in the entire draft with a 4.34. I wonder what made the lazy scouts think he was slow?

He's a slightly bigger Wes Welker.
That's it.
That's it.

He's a coach on the field. He brings his lunchpail every day.
Even though he's a great athlete, all the pundits can see is "white receiver".

I don't know how he ran that fast while carrying a lunchpail and coaching on the field.

Haha. He is also one of the top performers in the vertical and broad jump

I mean his motor never stops either. Just plays with a lot of heart.

Would you say he was a gym rat?

He isn't that fast. His superior intellect relative to other players on the field allows him to start running .2 or .3 seconds before his peers would.

Well, from watching him in games I always thought he was quicker than fast (not that he wasn't fast, just didnt see 4.34 fast), so it doesn't surprise me. He certainly has proven himself though.

"First guy in the field house, last guy to leave"
"Makes up for lack of straight-line speed with route running ability and work ethic"

I was always impressed with Swope. I wish this kid well. I hope comes to Miami Dolphins need all the WR help they can get. I want Fins to pick up Wallace in Free Agency than maybe a sick receiver like Swope. I can dream right?

He's gonna be a very good pro WR.
Clutch motherfricker he was. And now we know the serious physical tools he brings to the table as well.
I would LOVE the Saints to grab him and cut a couple other guys.

Apparently he said in an interview today that wasn't his fastest time but he was glad he got a sub 4.4 in the books. He's a hard guy not to cheer for, just plays his heart out and he is sheer class. After the Mizzou game we were walking by where the athlete leave and he stopped and took a pic with my 9 year old son who was blown away, any NFL team that drafts him won't regret it.
He had a huge stat year last year so some thought he might go Pro with Sherman leaving, so glad he came back so he could enjoy this:

This one made me lose it.
