Good to get off to a win. LB Dantzler gets a homer, and Jordan Montgomery starts things off right with an opening day win. JM didn't give up any runs through 6, but the bullpen gave up 3, which is a little bit concerning, but hopefully they're just getting settled in.

Game postponed for today, doubleheader scheduled for tomorrow. Some talk that it might actually snow in the midlands today.

Great comeback in game 2, and yardcocks 8-7 over Liberty.

Gamecocks fall 3-2 to Liberty, in a 7-inning game. I'm a bit concerned about the bullpen, but the sky is not falling, and there's time to get some things figured out.

I will say that the bullpen doesn't appear as deep as the past few years but there is talent there. I wonder if Tanner still has a open line down to the dugout from his office?

I agree, we lost 2 All American Pitchers in Roth and Price, so that was to be expected. Webb, Mont, and Westmoreland looked good this weekend. Beal was ok. I was disappointed in Holmes and Belcher (but maybe they left Holmes in there to long.)
Belcher had a good 1st innning, but then faded.

Bump. Let's get this one!

We should, Albany only won 22 games last year.
They are returning 20 players including 8 regular guys in their lineup, so I think they should be better than the team they had last year. They are a decent hitting team, 4 guys coming back hit over .300 last year. However, their pitching isn't very good. Even with that bad record, they were still 2nd in the Aeast last year.

I got a full day tomorrow, so I don't think I'll be able to watch the game. Also, I heard it might rain (50% chance). If they play, there very well may be a link that pops up here. Also, it might not be a bad idea to join that forum and request the link for the game on that thread.

I wasn't able to watch the game, but how did they score? bunch of errors and walks one inning?

Yes that got us like 8 runs in the 5th. Dantzler also had another beast game, had about 4 RBI's again.
We're ahead 6-2 atm in G2 of this DH.
Looks like we'll sweep as we're heading to the 9th up 6-2.

Late rally by Albany fails in game 2. USC sweeps and goes to 5-1.
