This is something I hope all BCS conferences will do in the near future. No more glorified scrimmages. CF fans have been getting the shaft from the bcs (and the side effects it brought with it, like intentionally weak non-conf schedules) since its inception. Time to make some changes, here's a decent place to start.

Real match ups, every week. What a concept!

We'll get right on it as soon as certain schools stop refusing to play SEC teams.

Just because the Big Ten likes to intentionally handicap themselves doesn't mean the SEC should follow suit. This is just another thing for them to get on their high horse and complain about the SEC.

What's wrong with a FCS opponent for homecoming every year?

If LSU doesn't schedule an FCS opponent, how are we going to avenge the Big 10's losses to them when they are ranked in the top 5 and at home? Someone has to stand up to those bullies and protect the division, no?

Meh. The Big Ten is just trying to offset a shite show of a conference schedule (which has been their knock with some of the "powers" being down). The SEC doesn't need to do that at this point. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

A lot of these FCS schools really need money and the money paid for these games help the school out.

Agreed, but who can deny the Big Ten is ahead of the curve? Oversigning will be banned before too long, and scheduling FCS opponents will become a fading trend.

Just my opinion.

They will end up crippling the athletic department of some FCS schools by deciding to do this. Especially if other conferences follow suit.

LOL at people acting like they care about these FCS athletic dept finances. Not buying that argument.

The Big 10 will continue outlawing things they can't compete with. BAZING! :rimshot:

In my opinion, oversigning is wrong.

FCS opponents - it isn't wrong, but it is cheap.

The Big Ten is right.

why would we cancel our exhibition games where we build depth, win games and.... oh yeah, crowds show up regardless. The SEC has won 7 straight titles giving our teams breathers towards the end of the season and exhibitions at the start to shake off jitters.

If anything I wanna keep them just because they bug the holier-than-thou Big 10
