SC Basketball Fans, How do you feel about FM's Comments

I really didn't realize how shitty of a person he is until he came to USC. I didn't see KSU much and usually they played pretty well so he wasn't crazy hulker Frank. Now, I watch, he just screams at his players. That's not going to work. What he did yesterday should embarrass Cock fans. He sat down the whole second half except to get up and chit chat with the scorer's table.

Its only his first year here for goodness sake, so I say let the man do what he does. We were a 10 win team last year (only 2 SEC wins), so everyone knew he was stepping into a rough situation. Martin was dealt a bad hand and he is making the most of it ... I'm behind him 110%. He'll have us competing for titles and playing well come March in no time.

I think he is a good coach. The problem is the kids that are there didn't sign up to be humiliated. This is the same shite Clyde did at UK. We all saw how that ended. It's a different time now. He needs to be building these guys up until he gets "his" guys in. All he is doing right now is killing any spirit the team has. Well other than the Venezuelan that rolls up his shorts. That kid just goes hard. That Euro trash is the most ridiculous player in the SEC. He's pitiful.

Martin is the 2nd best x and o's coach in this league right behind Donavan. He has the right to coach any way he likes. GTFO with this shite.

I was surprised to read that article, and to actually have UK fans clamoring for him to coach his team kind of shocked me.
I do think though that he is a good coach, just has a poor team this year. I would have thought though under those circumstances you would be coaching every second to try to build for the future.

You can only coach guys that want to be coached... Our basketball team is simply terribad.. I see Martins comments and ploy as a motivational one... saying "Hey.. you wanna give up and not perform or listen to coaching advice... let me show you what that looks like" This is the most schizo team ever, some games they actually look like there playing hard *cough arkansas cough* and others like some cast members of the walking dead.. *cough elon cough*

Martin is a terrible Xs and Os coach. He always has been. He is a good motivator. That is his best attribute. He can't coach offense to save his life.
His defensive coaching is iffy. His kids play hard, which makes defense look great most of the time because defense is mainly about effort. When it comes down to scheming, good offensive coaches will pick him apart.
Martin will make USC competitive, but he isn't the kind of coach who will make USC a high level winner unless he gets an A+ staff and brings Delonte Hill back to bring in east coast kids.

this is sorta the impression I had of him at K-state... dudes a JUCO coach who got lucky... he's a pretty good motivator and an above average recruiting... not sure how good he'll be at USCe.

I hear recruiting is going ok, though. Got a 5*.
