Just getting back from the game and I wanted to say that Phil Pressey made a believer out of me. It was evident from pre-game warmups and beyond that this Missouri team came into the game cocky and looking to sleep walk to a win. But when they got hit in the mouth early, a lot of them started throwing tantrums with eachother or showing apathy to the situation.
Despite that, there was Pressey, fighting and playing hard on every possession. Yea, he missed two open threes in the clutch, but without this kid willing Missouri back, they get embarrassed by 20. Literally every time LSU looked to finish off Missouri, Pressey made the drive and the finish, or found the right man at the right time. One of the single best PG performances I've ever seen in person.
P.S. Haith needs to get that locker room under control. Not sure which post player it was (it wasn't Bowers or Oriakhi (sp?)) but one of the Missouri players lost composure at the final buzzer and jumping up and down like a child.

It's a new team. Guys that haven't played much together and (in my opinion) don't like each other much. Haith needs to get it under control though, for sure.

It was fun watching him and Hickey go back and forth.
I was worried during the first part of the 2nd half when Pressey came out and really asserted himself. It seemed like he was getting to the basket at will.

You guys played a great game. Pressey can be good but his biggest downfall is he doesn't know his own limitations. I dogged Henderson for it and I'll dog Pressey for it. He should not have been the one taking those 3's. He's not a shooter. He tries to do too much.
Shame to hear about the player. Hopefully he didn't embarrass us too much. And you're right, Haith has done a piss poor job of getting the players ready to play from the opening tip off in more than just this game.

Funny you say that. I just compared Pressey to Henderson. Pressey isn't our shooter and had no business shooting the ball at the end of the game.

Yea, but I really can't blame the kid. He was on fire, and really their only sign of life on offense. And I may be wrong but I think he was like 3-3 from out there until that point. Too lazy to check the game log though :(
And its clear that Missouri still has the talent, you guys just have to play like it. When/if that happens, I have no doubt you will be back. You just so happened to catch our best game of the year

Pressey was 1-9 from 3pt range. Not sure what game you were watching..

What's scary is that, that is about the same shooting percentage from 3 as Henderson shot against Kentucky.

They got frustrated early and often. Overall, LSU outplayed Mizzou tonight.
That may have been the best matchup in the SEC this year with Hickey and Pressey going for 45 and 9 assists. Solid stuff there.

Press lee forgot to show up at O Dome when we played Mizzou...is he still on the roster?
