SEC uniforms? Arkies probably the only school that needs some major tweaking. Besides Mizzou.

Probably.

Doubtful you see an immediate change.

Probably but it will be year or two before it happens because of Nike's development cycle length.

Hopefully not. The sneak preview released of next years uniforms with the full anthracite with the lime green tusk accents were SICK. The chrome helmets they teased us with are going to dazzle your minds.

The ones last year definitely don't fit Bielemas style.

Petrinoish for sure

Programs that can't recruit based on their natural merit need smoke and mirrors and other shiny things.

@Flint_HolyTurf: Rivals currently ranks Arkansas' recruiting class 61st nationally and dead last in the SEC. Bielema and company better close. #wps

Hope those helmets can do some mighty fine dazzling.

Well considering the fact that he's starting from scratch with a whole new staff and recruiting board, ill cut him some slack.

Definitely. He was very involved in the design process for the current set.

We essentially didn't have a coach for 8 months. There was bound to be a huge one year hit in recruiting. We're all aware arkansas isn't USC and can't bring in 4/5 stars who aren't even recruited.

We were actually 26th in the rankings when Bielema was hired. Since then the staff has cut 7 of the previous staffs commits which has led to a plummet in the rankings.

I hope we go back to something akin to the Dmac era uniforms. Wisconsin's uniforms were pretty traditional and our fanbase vastly prefers traditional looking uniforms, so I think it's a realistic expectation. I just don't think it will happen next season--probably 2014 at the earliest.

As for recruiting, I'm not expecting a whole lot from this class, which I think is reasonable given the circumstances. I expect we will close out with a few pretty highly regarded recruits and then fill out the rest of the class with whatever we can find. We have a lot of really good players interested and visiting, but I'm afraid we're too far behind other schools that have been on them for 6+ months. We're really going to have to rely on their previous relationships with our new coaches and hopefully some really great visits.

On the other hand, I am really optimistic about our 2014 class. We already have three very good players committed and two of them are already 4*s. I expect Juan Day, the unrated one, to also be ranked 4*--he was a 1000 yard junior running back who played behind Altee Tenpenny at North Little Rock. He's 6'1" 210 lbs and most people think he's just as good as Tenpenny (some think he is better, but we'll see about that).

We have a lot of other instate players who are D-I talent and I feel pretty confident we can keep them in Arkansas. The only one I worry about it Josh Frazier who is giving Alabama a really hard look, and I can't blame him because he is the prototypical nose guard for a 3-4 scheme.
