265 yards rushing at 5.9 per rush

Per Pete Thamel's Twitter

quote:

ND DT Louis Nix insisted to me after the game that ND's DL didn't get dominated. He asked: "Do you think Barrett Jones dominated me?"

quote:

Nix pointed the problem on missed tackles. Why? "I can't explain it. Can you tell me why we're on earth? Can you tell me, what is gravity?"

quote:

Nix:"(Bama OL) did not dominate, I hope no one uses that word. I don't think they physically dominated us and took us out to the woodshed."

quote:

One last Nix quote. When I told him that Alabama controlled the line of scrimmage, he said, "Define control." Bama averaged 5.9 ypc.

Jones, not even close to 100%, did well against one of the top NGs out there, and most of the time one on one.

Lacy improved his stock as well.

In fairness he was pretty much the only guy on that defense that had anything close to a good game.

It is the attractive force between two objects with mass.

That is some real Baghdad Bob level denial there.

To be expected considering Jones was playing on a foot that requires surgery.

thats a good point Allbamadoesiswin

Jones wasnt healthy, I had forgotten that.

As a group the bama oline did dominate there is no doubt about that.

Surrendered 539 yards of offense. Check.

Abused by a one-legged center. Check.

28-0 at halftime. Check.

Biggest beating in BCS Championship Game history. Check.

Other than that, Louis Nix is spot on.

Honestly, he is the only man on the entire D for ND to make plays tonight.
But I think it is less of a shot against Bama and more of a shot at their star player and LB's.

=Our LBs are SLOOOOW/terrible.

Catching runners works when you're not playing great players I guess, but Te'O hasn't played "downhill" all year, and it showed tonight.

Jones might have gotten pushed around some, but I bet he managed to steer which direction that push went

Nix is good but he needs to get in better shape. He has too much fat on him.
