Well, yeah, if you make it to the game, you then have to play the East Champs. But, there were 3 really good teams in the SEC East this year: Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. LSU played 2 of them in the regular season. Alabama played none of them. See the difference? Obviously, if you win the West you play the East Champ. But, it seems that Alabama won the west with the easiest schedule. That is not really debatable.
Anyway, this is about LSU's schedule next year, not Alabama's pitiful line up of opponents.

Then what does that make the line up of kittens that Bama has to play apart from LSU and A&M?
Delusional Bammer.

So you know how good teams will be next year. Georgia could lose five or six games next year. Same with UF.

The SEC offices and other teams like Bama, have realized that a great schedule gets you a loss. An easy schedule gets you in the national championship game.
LSU gets brownie points, the teams with cupcake schedules get rings.
@Georgia is such a punk arse move by the SEC offices. Freakin amazing.

Offense took time to break in, and we were still only a Bama drive away from playing in the CCG. You can probably extend that hypothetical scenario yourself.
In 2013 our offense should be pretty good. Its the D that has me worried. If we get Logan and Minter back, we'll be stout against the run. With more experience from our young DBs, we'll be pretty good against the pass. BUT we'll miss Mingo and Montgomery's ability to chase down guys like JFF.

My bad. East champs.
Before the schedule shuffle, Alabama and Georgia were supposed to square off in Athens during the regular season. If that game had happened, I wonder if both UGA and Bama would have played in Atlanta? Seems unlikely.

LSU looked tired against Fl. (game 6),and spent against A&M (game 8).
next yr. is 9 straight, then the bye-game-bye BS.
horrible schedule.

I guess the SEC shouldn't have expanded. They wanted the kings of the SEC to play both expansion teams.

If every thing else was finished the same, either UF would have gone to ATL (UGA loss) or if UA loss then, I'm not sure. LSU/A&M/UA 6-2 conference record, 5-1 division record, circular H2H...I guess it would have come down to BCS rank for ATL invite, not sure.

Yep. I'm excited about (almost) each week being competitive but I noticed this too and was like frick

Yeah remember 2005? The team was dead tired by the CCG and we got blasted.

Exactly my thoughts. I know we want that bye before the big game, but damn.
Our schedule could end up being pretty brutal.

Katrina had a lot to do with that. Congrats to UGA for sure, but they looked wore out by 2nd quarter.

Hopefully we get lucky (like Bama did) and have a few teams under achieve on our schedule.
It'd be nice if UF dropped a game or 2 before coming to Tiger Stadium.
Either way, we'll be contenders. We were a damn young team after injuries this year. And obvious TM being kicked off.

Oh yeah. Really happy to see Jalen Mills get an award. Really solid all year and should come back a bit stronger, a bit quicker. Mingo might come back since he really didn't shine this year like most thought. Zach should be solid. Looking forward to it. Really looking forward to Clemson game and see if club can step it up away from BR.

TCU returns 21 of 22 starters, and Casey Pachall will be back as well as some other guys who didn't play this year because of grades/injuries.
They are probably going to be picked to win the Big 12, or very close to it.
I'd say its one of the top non conference game for the SEC.

Maybe a top 10 matchup, depending on media view of TCU.

So what's the reason for '13 when bama goes from playing two of the worst three from the east to actually playing the worst two?
