I think we match up very well against all of their strengths. They are a passing team going up against the 10th ranked passing defense in the country. Glennon is not a dual threat QB. We've had issues against them, e.g., Driskel, Wallace, Franklin, etc.; but we've done much better against traditional pocket passers. Good games from Wilson, Hal, and the rest will guarantee a victory, unless our offense is stagnant. The key will be whether we can control the ball and minimize turnovers, as well as whether the defense that showed up against FSU shows up on the 31st. Our offense isn't built that differently from FSU's, but we have a growing number of targets. If Boyd, Kentera, and Krause play well, I don't see a problem. Stacy's rushing will control the clock and pace the defense. This has the potential to be a blowout or a kicking extravaganza. Even though punters and kickers are usually the MVP for the Music City Bowl, I'm thinking we win by 10.

Wow that's a very good analysis and I personally could not agree more. We have to make sure to take away the way throws from Glennon early because he tends to be very streaky. Limit big play and control clock with Stacey and Tate and expect a 10-21 point victory.

The NC State SB Nation blog has written about the game, and it is fairly accurate. The characterization of our passing defense as a little artificially inflated is likely true. We did well against Bray, but that doesn't say much with it being Dooley's last game. Then, UGA and Murray torched us. I'm not sure what to make of it, but our ranking could be a result of our competition. Still, the scoring defense holds up whether they rush or pass. I think we'll be fine.
