10 yds from a BCS national championship game and they go to cap1....georgia sitting home eating popcorn and they BCS bound. System is about as fricked up as can be.

I'd rather play one of the best all-time programs in Nebraska than shitty Louisville anyway.

L-ville would be a better game. UGA will skull drag Nebraska.

Still can't believe Richt didn't spike the ball and leave 3 plays.

And we got screwed by the luck of the Irish against Pitt and Stanford. I have no sympathy. They had their chance, and Helen blew it.

Meh. Conley still would have probably caught the tipped ball. Pure instincts.

I do kind of feel bad for Georgia. That tipped/caught ball was just bad luck all the way around. If that is dropped they have at least one more play.....
And to add insult to injury, they get passed over by losing a great SEC Championship game on the last play of the game by a Florida team that was watching on TV. Doesn't seem fair at all.

The Bowl system has outlived it's usefulness. The entire Bowl season is a waste of time. When Louisville and Northern Illinois are going to BCS Bowl games, beyond pathetic Nebraska is playing in the Cap One, and superior Top 10 SEC programs are playing in who gives a damn bowl games, it's long overdue for a decent playoff system to be in place.

Everyone wanted a playoff. 4, 6 or 8 teams would elicit the same reaction from the number 9, 10 and ll teams.

The NCAA basketball tourney has 64 and 65 cries about being left out.

True.. But it's easy for SEC fans to say this because we have usually 6 teams that could qualify. Might not be the same if the roles were reversed.

So dropping UGA down with the other 2 loss teams isn't fair?

I've always liked the Bowls so I don't think they should go away but there definitely needs to be some tweaking done. The people want and need to see the best match ups between the best teams and if 6 of those teams happen to be in the SEC then so be it. Downright embarrassing that Wisconsin, Louisville, and Northern Illinois are getting marquee games while Georgia, TAMU, LSU, and USCe are going to second tier games.
