Is this the PAC 12 game or a low tier bowl....there is nobody in the house at Stanford tonight. Yeah, this conference is one of the big boys....

they are a big boy confrence, USC and ORG and STANFORD make a pretty good confrence to start with. But compared to the SEC, NOT.

First, not a neutral location at Stanford's stadium.
Second, Stanford has already beaten the shite out of UCLA during the regular season.
Net result: half empty stadium for a championship game. Reminds me of the ACC.

Just mean the game more than the actual teams....I like Stanford. Just seems like the conference is hurting itself by not doing more to make this a big deal like other conferences do.

I live in Oregon and I didn't even realize the game was tonight.

Honestly, though, there's not a good site to have the game. They did as an on campus thing hoping the home team would at least be enthused but so far the matchups just haven't warranted big crowds.

SEC fans should never take for granted what a great host site the Georgia Dome is. No other conference can even come close to touching the atmosphere though the Big XII did have some good games back in the day but still not on the same level at all.

Apparently, this is far from the first time this season Stanford has failed to fill the seats.

See below from October 6 when they played Arizona:

quote:

The crowd has since grown, but plenty of empty seats remain. Cheers for Arizona seem louder than that of Cardinal fans. This is for a homecoming game, traditionally some of the most well-attended weekends in college football.
Stanford is no stranger to this, as it chose to significantly reduce the number of seats in Stanford Stadium when it was remodeled. Even with that reduction, it still appears to be too many.

TD UCLA!!!

and the PAC is generally either the 2nd or 3rd best conference in football depending on the year. the problem is that recently, 2 of its traditional power programs (UCLA and washington) are both having their worst periods in their programs history.

The MAC championship is entirely more interesting than this nonsense. This is an embarrassment to big time college football.

Yup.

It's been a long time since UCLA was really consistent. They've won 8 games or more only 5 times since 1992.

Ditto for the Huskies... 5 seasons since 1992 with 8 wins or more.
