Had LSU gotten Teddy Bridgewater, do you think...

...they would have won the 2011 and possibly 2012 NC?

I think he would have gotten the job done.

Thoughts?

*Sorry for the cliffhanger; title was too long.

This has no bearing on what he did/doing at Louisville. Just based off pure talent.

Why do people assume that QBs would perform the same no matter what school they went to?

To answer your question, no because he would be subjected to Les Miles QB development

I didn't. I've seen this kids high school highlights. He could have played at LSU.

I would, and twice over Tyler Russell(sp?).

Any idea how many Int's he has thrown in 3 years vs LSU?

We could of bad Bridgewater if we wanted. Obviously we didn't want. He's in an offense that suits him, and we seem to be getting better each game in the passing game.

I don't think he would be very good outside of the big east. and he's not overly impressive there. Heck Jonathan banks could probably knock his passes down.

Well that's what it seemed like

Yeah he could've played at LSU but would be as good as he is now? I wouldn't think so

And A&M passed over Drew Brees/Major Applewhite back when it was a graveyard for highly recruited QBs. Every system/situation is different. Can't compare especially when you're talking about a mid major conference, Big East.

bridgewater is the consensus top QB available in the 2014 draft by literally, everyone who follows the shit, and you have dumb arse corn dog fans talking about mett > bridgwater.

outside of maybe us, usc and oaklahoma there is not a school in the country he would not have sown the starting job up on the first day of fall pratice

Well they are both highly ranked. It's not absolutely absurd. Or have the "consensus top QB's" always turned out to be better QB than their peers?

He is considered the top underclassman QB prospect that isn't draft eligible.

Wouldn't be near as good. The Les Miles effect.

Last night was the first time I had seen Bridgewater play for more than a few plays, and I was impressed. Other than the few high throws, he looked good... and tough playing through the injury.

Even knowing how much I hate Louisville, I have to respectfully disagree. Bridgewater is a pretty unique talent and was pretty damn tough playing with a sprained ankle and a broken wrist last night. Now I think you can make the argument that he may not have developed the same but at the same time Shawn Watson is a decent QB coach but nothing to fawn over either.

Miles seems to prefer experience over talent so I doubt he would have played at all last year and very little this year.

Yeah that's why we played the second most freshmen in the country. Only team to play more was Ohio State.

You can't even say that old line with a straight face anymore.
