This is a radio segment Bernie Miklasz did about Pinkel and the state of the program currently. What do yall think of his opinion?

Personally I think he nails it. Basically sums up everything that needs to be said, yet people with a voice are too timid to say it. Alden has apparently state that he will not force Pinkel into staff changes, so this commentary fits very well. Anyways give your thoughts.

This is always the chorus. Thos who dont want to fire a given coach are "timid" or "weak" etc.

Bernie has some points. Bernie is focusing on the immediate presser and one specific soundbite and using that as a preface for Pinkel being unwilling to change etc. Lets just wait and see what actual changes are made during the offseason and spring.

When someone also prefaces their commentary with if you "kool aid drinkers dont agree with me" it strikes me as very ironic as he is sitting there bashing Pinkel for his supposed ego.

Im glad cooler heads prevailed. Pinkel seat is warm/hot for next season though.

I think even the haters would've been surprised if he was fired. And it's not just Bernie taking an out-of-context quote to surmise that CP isn't going to change. It's CP's demeanor and history.

I think that we will likely finish next year 7-5ish or 8-4ish. But I also don't think we will be a significantly better football team. We might win 3 conference games.

So folks dont think the offensive and defensive schemes have been changed over the course of his tenure at Mizzou? Or is it people calling for peoples jobs and when Pinkel or the AD doenst deliver them to the Mob folks cry "See, no change!"

People bitched and moaned about Christensen and his play calling and wanted him fired.

Meh. Im glad the AD is doing the right thing. Let the whiners cry all they wannt. Alden did the right thing for the program at this point and that is all I care about.

I agree with that last line. Personally, I never really expected for real staff changes. I love the man, but he gets next year and a hot seat. I want 8-4 next year.

Especially with Alden saying he wont force changes, I think he is giving preparation to the fanbase that nothing really is going to happen, as to ease the outrage later. Personally I think Pinkel needs to make the Off. playcalls. He cant keep letting Yost do the plays, then complain after the game that we didnt run the ball enough. Gary is on the hotseat next year. He should take control of this obvious problem on the team, as he is on the line next.

Also, we need to get a real recruiting class in. He needs to win now, but I also think we need to show promise for the future. We are #36 right now. We need to be within the Top 20. If yall remember that PowerMizzou article that was written, there is a strong correlation between recruiting classes and success in the SEC.

I know they've been changed. I'm not sure Gary knows. Ok, that was sarcastic. I'm not sure Gary will admit the changes he's made.

What will Yost do in the off-season to make a better offensive scheme? Attend a Tony Robbins seminar? Buy a "Football Offense for Dummies" book? He is who he is. He's what? 4 years into his tenure as OC? Throw out all the stats you want. He's overmatched, under-qualified and has under-delivered.

You may think I'm just a negative person, but I personally don't think that's the case. I honestly think he's a couple of pay grades above his ability. And with Pinkel almost refusing to hire outside his Toledo bubble, how does that change? Honest question.

Hate to say it but I think Bernie has a point.

I think GP will get another season but if he has another lack luster team and only produces a football stadium with 12,000 people in it. I think the folks at Mizzou will make a change.
