How are they able to sustain this many every year? I thought the limit was 25?

Southwest Conference rules allow you to sign 31, so long as you leave some in Junction, Texas in August.

Now that's funny

But as stated, we're loading up on December enrollees to back count to last years class. Heavy on JuCo's. and 3 of those guys likely won't qualify, like Derrick Griffin. Hopefully RSJ takes his spot.

Sumlin pretty much gambled last signing day to not take a full class and hope to get better players in this one. Maybe he knew Johnny was going to stunt

You also had a lot of defections right before signing day. I think your biggest losses were Addison to Oregon, Thompson to LSU, and that CB to Tulane.

Addison has less yards and catches than Thomas Johnson (the one we picked up in his place) and only 2 more touchdowns.

Thompson to LSU

Not arguing here.

Darion Monroe went to Tulane because they told him they'd let him play QB. Ended up playing CB after all.

I think if we do the paperwork right, we can sign about 52.

We had 19 2012 signees but I think 2 counted back to 2011 so we're looking at 33 if we get 8 mid term guys plus the 25 in February.

Also keep in mind that two or three of our current guys probably wont qualify and wont be signed at all. We could realistically have 35 listed commitments on signing day.

and we likely won't have Thomas Johnson back until he resolves his issues.

Wouldn't you if the money was there and Johnny Football was ahead of you.

We actually have two stud QBs. Kohl has given every indication earlier this year that he wanted to come to college, however, with Johnny playing lights out I expect him to go to the MLB.

Kenny Hill on the other hand will be on campus and is a legit stud in his own right. Also much more Johnny-esque in his play. ... Kenny Football anyone?
