He did exactly what the rule tells you NOT to do.. lead with the helmet. And to top that off he led with the helmet to Mettenberger's chin strap.
Not saying I agree with making that call in that situation but saying that it wasn't a penalty is crap.

People need to be more specific. You are leading with your head in some way on EVERY tackle.

It was the right call. I don't agree with the rule, but it IS a rule, it HAS to be called, and the refs got it right.
