And what are your expectations for the next 4 years?

Probably 2 rebuilding years. Will expect meaningful improvement by third year, and real expectations of competing for something significant by year 4.

If we land Gundy or Patterson, I would expect to be back in the thick of things by year 3.

1st- Don't really have any expectations. We have one of the toughest schedules in the country, but it'd be nice to have at least one upset win
2nd- 7 wins
3rd- 8 or 9 wins
4th- 10 wins
When our new coach has implemented everything he wants, I expect us to be competing for a national title year in and year out. Nothing less

I would just like to see improvement. You know basic stuff, like tackling and shite.

I expect the same path Petrino had.
Year 1: get your system in place with a chance at bowl. Petrino won 5 games, but we were a few D'Anthony Curtis fumbles away(Kentucky) from Shreveport or Memphis.
Year 2: see progress. Be in every game with a chance to win. Saw that with all but Alabama and Ole Miss in year 2 under Petrino. Make Bowl game and win said bowl game.
Year 3: Put your stamp on the program year. It's not four full recruiting classes, but a coach has his system in place and his conditioning and strength program should be showing dividends by now. Start whipping some arse and taking names. Make a run for the division title. We were 2 4 th qtr blown leads from playing for a National Title in Petrino's 3rd year.
Year 4: sustainability...your mark has been made. Deliver. Win, or leave.

Personally I'd be happy with 1-3 years of rebuilding with hopefully the 3rd being at least bowl eligible.
4+ I would like to have 9-10 win seasons with the occasional 7-8 win season for training new QB's or a youngish O-Line.
eta: Yes my standards have been completely demolished due to JLS.

I expect us to get better game to game and week to week. I also expect that we would be bowl eligible every year. Petrino didn't leave an absence of talent like after nutt. I also expect in 3 to 4 years max that would be consistently competing for a championship in our division year in year out with very few 7 win down years. I'm sic of going from double digits to not bowl eligible.

I think this year set us back at least two good years. To get back by the third, there would have to be some serious recruiting holes filled starting with the next class. Hope we can salvage this class.

Ken Mourton the Razorback foundation chairman has been at his compound outside Las Vegas for the past week. I think this is a very good indication that something is going down with the coaching situation. It's a perfect place to have candidates and discussions in private.
