This topic was discussed numerous times prior to Sat night. I have read a majority of the threads since Sat, but due to the sheer number, I have have missed this topic already being discussed.
So if it is germans, I will request an admin delete the thread.
With all of that out the way, I would like to share my opinion and then get all of your opinions on the topic.
Bama-
IMO, your best back is Yeldon. He has fantastic speed, good balance, and is very shifty. He doesn't just have straight line speed, he is very quick in and out of cuts. His shiftiness made it difficult for anyone on LSU's D to get a clean hit, he always seemed to be shifting side to side at the moment of impact... this means a much higher chance the defender whifs on a tackle. His weak point is strength. I don't mean he is weak, I just mean that out of a RBs skillset, strength is not his strong point. That can and will improve as he spends the next few years in a college S&C program.
LSU -
We finally got to see Hill for an entire game. He got over 100 yards rushing against a very good Bama defense. Bama did not allow him to make any huge plays, but he did an excellent job of turning nothing into 2-4 yards consistently.
At THIS point in time, I will say that Bama has THE better RB in yeldon. LSU still has the stable, which provides for more than adequate backups and a rotation of quality backs that can wear down SOME defenses (obviously not Bama, which is why we stuck with our best back for the majority of the game)
I know this is more or less what some concluded before the game, but now with the game having been played I think this opinion is more soldified.
The bottom line:
Hill and Yeldon are only freshman, both showed that they will be studs for their respective teams for the next couple of years (baring any major injuries)

Frankly, Yeldon and Lacy looked like the two best backs on the field Saturday night, even though Hill looks really good. But that is probably just me being a homer.
I hated that Bama didn't ride Yeldon and Lacy more.

The future of Bama/LSU matchup's being the best in CF is not in danger of fading. I was very impressed with Hill and your offensive line. That was some of the biggest holes punched in our DL that I've seen under Saban. I'm glad we saw it too because this week we need to be gap sound to keep little johnny from squirting out.

Hill is a beast and LSU's best back by far.
LSU should also throwing screens to Copeland more often. Asking a DB to tackle a 270lb rolling ball of thunder like him at full speed is just not fair.
That being said. Yeldon is the best one, then Hill, then the rest.

Are we counting the injured RBs or not?

Up to you if you want to count injuries. I personally, was just speaking on observations from the heads up game.

Both teams are loaded at every position. There are very few players anywhere on either team's 2 deep that aren't awesome talents.
All you have to do to understand this is to watch the tape of the game and watch all the substitution packages of players coming on and off the field for both teams.
Depth - and superb quality depth at that - is not an issue.

Lacy and Yeldon played well on Saturday night. LSU's running backs played just as well and, at least in my opinion, were utilized better.

Yep. Also remember that LSU's starting tailback has been out since week 3. Blue is the best all-around back on the team though Hill has surpassed Ware, Ford and Hilliard IMO.

Just to add, I think at this moment and time Ware and Lacy are more in the mold of what NFL teams are looking for in RBs, strong runners with good hands, vision, and both are good in pass protection.
Not that Hill and yeldon can't get to that point of being highly coverted NFL backs, they just need some more seasoning at the college level. But for the college game, Hill and Yeldon are both fantastic. IMO

Yeldon and hill are about the same IMO. Yeltsin had a much better offensive line. Hill had less help and still out gained Yeldon.

Good thing they have 2 more years to get more "seasoning"

Lacy and Ware are great backs, but are at their best when their O-lines can seal off some creases in the Defensive front 7. When that happens both Ware and Lacy are great at picking up an almost guaranteed 5 yards.
Yeldon and Hill are much better at making something out of nothing. Neither one seems to NEED huge holes or the D-line to get blown off the ball 3-4 yards to be succesful.
