Mr. SEC says Patterson (TCU) Top Arkansas Target and..

Tommy Tuberville wants back in the SEC.

As we reported earlier this week, an industry source informed us that Patterson is Arkansas’ first target. Since reporting that, we’ve had another source inside the UA athletic department inform us that the “scuttlebutt” inside the program is that TCU’s coach is indeed the top choice.
The coach at Texas Tech who knocked off Patterson head-to-head this season is former Ole Miss and Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville and it’s believed he’s very interested in a return to the SEC. His name always seems to come up in connection with Arkansas openings because he is an Arkansas native. The 58-year-old has Tech at 6-1 on the season and #14 in the current BCS standings.

Make sure whoever yall hire understands that 5th place in the SEC West behind LSU, Bama, Auburn and now Texas A&M is the now the annual "goal".

As an LSU fan, I'd hate to see Arky hire Tubbs. I don't know if Tubbs is the guy to bring Arky to NC-type prominence if that is what they're after, but he sure as shite would make the SECW more difficult and would get Arkansas to go toe to toe with LSU.

Patterson is a tremendous coach just not sure why he would leave now that TCU is in a BCS conference. What's his salary there?

Tubby is a good coach. And he's been coaching in Texas for the past few years so he used to Tex kids/high schools.
As well as having some good inroads to Deep South kids/schools.
Arky's number one target should be Patterson tho. At first glance Tubby could look bad, I think it would still be a solid choice.
