Traveling to LR this Saturday

My friends and I are making the sojourn to the land that Nutt forsook and I would like to know if there are any hazards, road closings, cop problems, etc etc associated with the trip from Memphis. TIA and here's to both teams not sucking

Road closings- will be construction around the Brinkley area.
Cops are littered from Forest City- LR
Hazards- Arkansas road system is shitty

Yep. From the AHTD website:
I-40 Eastbound: Take Exit 183 or Exit 193 to Hwy 70. Travel East to Brinkley or Wheatley
I-40 Westbound: Take Exit 221 or Exit 216 to Hwy 70. Travel West to Hazen or Carlisle

Coming from Memphis? I wouldn't leave any later than 8:00 personally. Enjoy, I won't be making it this year

You definitely should detour and take Highway 70 once you get to Brinkley, I usually take that all the way to Hazen then hop back on the interstate.
To me, the risk of continuing on the interstate and getting in a 1hour -2 hour delay isn't worth it when you can take the detour and add 20 minutes to your trip(as long as everyone and their mom isn't taking the detour as well).

It is highly important that you take Highway 70. We live in memphis and make frequent trips to Beebe to see our folks. First time i decided to go for it on 40 since traffic didn't look that bad I sat in traffic for over two hours.
