Jameil Showers, who is pretty good himself. Most thought he would start over Manziel but Johnny won the starting position over the summer.
Manziel > Showers, but it won't be a huge dropoff if something happens to Manziel.

I have no doubt that his averages will drop after playing LSU and Bama. I'm not sure Auburn or Miss St can keep him from getting his numbers, but I could be wrong. Florida, whose defense is among the best in the SEC this year, stopped him in the second half, but he has improved since then.
We'll see. It'll be fun.

I am still in shock looking at rushing yards per game and seeing a Gator RB at #1 in the SEC...

You think so? It seems like JFF has some of those intangibles that are hard to pin down. So much Aggies success this year is directly because of him.

Bama and LSU will bring him down but he might have 800 yards of offense this week against La Tech. They don't play defense at all.
In truth Ole Miss showed that Manziel is mortal this week and he has much to learn. He will end up likely as a 3rd Team All SEC QB or something of the like and that would be an amazing accomplishment for a RS Fish. The next 3 years though? Watch out. Once he really gets in synch with his WR's about where they are and knows the offense instinctively he is going to be very, very hard to stop.
I also wouldn't put a ton of stock on LSU or Bama knocking him out. A&M still has a great OL and Manziel is a tough SOB that is hard to get a direct hit on. He also rarely gets blindsided and that is where most injuries occur. It can happen for certain but I don't see Manziel having a higher risk than any other QB. The backups Showers and Joekel are both very good. Showers has a truly great arm. Joekel is just a solid game manager that plays within the offense well. We grow QB's like cattle in Texas because half the HS's in the state run the Spread.

we keep hearing that. funny thing is, we've played 3 SEC games and he's only been hit a few times...with him delivering some of those blows. Just saying...he doesn't get hit like Wilson gets hit.
He is like houdini, you can't hit what you don't see.

I think you could say that for anyone in the nation. Hell, Tom Brady stats would take a hit if he played those two.

In comparison to pocket QBs, his chance of being hurt is higher. Basically the same chance as a RB.

Stupid of him if true. No way a QB should be delivering blows or initiating contact. Continuing to do this will obviously unnecessarily increase his injury risk.

Showers and Joekel don't have Manziel's freakish abilities but that isn't a requirement in the Spread. Essentially the offense would shift to more RB running and more deep passing. Showers especially can fling it 60 yards in a tight spiral with no effort. It's not like A&M is lacking RB's either. Essentially without Manziel A&M's offense would look a lot more like UH last year, more traditional Spread/Air Raid.

I really disagree. AJ McCarron has been sacked 10 times this. Manziel has probably been hit around the same number of times and not one of them has been hard.
People don't seem to understand that he runs around to not get hit and he wins that battle most of the time.

You simply don't get it. UF is a team improving, you caught them early and they stuffed you in the second half.
Manziel bounced off an arkansas defender. Wow I'm now impressed.
The kid has some moves for sure, but the big boys are coming.

He got blown up on that 4th quarter run by one of the OM Safety's...
He will get his shite pushed in by LSU and Bama...Great player though. like his game
