Arkansas did have over 500 offensive yards

UT because they're an SEC team.

And 10 points.
We're a top 10 scoring D. And Tyler Wilson is still damn good.
Rushing the ball they weren't as effective. They also threw the entire second half.

Your team being too classless to put the ball on the ground doesn't mean that it's gods gift to football. Ole Miss is our instate rival, we don't even refer to the by name, but if we are up 28-0 we will run the ball every single down. Congrats you skull fricked a highschool football team that has quit on the season.
My preemptive apologies for running it up in Starkville.
It's gonna happen. If you don't like it, stop it. UF didn't like it, so they shut it down.

Tough call but I would say UT because of their big play potential on offense. I don't think any team is going to beat Bama with their running game but a team like Tennessee with a tall, big arm QB and good receivers might get lucky and hit some long bombs for TD's. The main problem for the Vols is inconsistent defense.

Right, with their litigious partners! We were really forced out over there.
Hey, it's the Rant. Pull it together.

A&M's offense is a big play, fast paced offense. As a result, when we get moving, we score a lot, and fast. But when we are not getting first downs, it can make things very tough on our defense. If our defense hadn't played so well against Florida, we would have been blown out. We can't afford a half like that against Bama, or they will blow us out - because they are going to score points on us. And Bama's defense is better than Florida's.
Anyway - the point is that a traditional offense can win a game by 4 TDs and actually be more "out in front" then some game when we might win by 6 or 7 TDs.

It is getting easier to see who feels threatened by A&M.

Anyone would be threatened by you creepy geeds.

I agree that UT could hit some long passes (and probably will) but Bray has a habit of forcing throws and that could literally play into Bama's hands.

Would you have the same opinion mind had Sumlin allowed Johnny to play the whole game? Did you not see enough? What glaring weakness did you identify in A&M's squad that has you speaking so unequivocally?

Arky still has a very explosive offense and came back from 17 points down on us last year. They made a late run at Rutgers the week before as well. They certainly never quit and had Wilson and Hamilton in there going for it on 4th down with barely a minute left. Sumlin did pull the starters early in the 4th quarter but he didn't want to risk a lot of 3 and outs with a backup OL running the ball. Also, the backup QB job at A&M isn't completely settled so he likely wanted to see Showers vs Joekel running the offense (Joekel may have won the job btw based on performance).
Once again I don't think either A&M or UT has much of a shot but comparing the 2 A&M has an edge based on a better D and I would add coaching. A&M also has a chance at catching Bama off guard with such a different style of offense and the unconventional play of Manziel that is hard to plan for. While I do think Bama handles Manziel I don't see him getting killed. He still has an OL with 2 future 1st Rounders at OT. If he can learn to slide he can minimize the damage quite a bit as well. No way he can pull off a "run in a circle" TD like he did against Arkie either.
I just can't envision walking in to BDS though with a Freshman led team and staying within 10 though. I also can't see how a UT team that already has a coach on the hot seat and has lost to UF and UGA already with a highly suspect D suddenly putting it all together for Bama.

I guess I'm still trying to wrap my mind around the fact that a middle-of-the-road Big XII team for the longest has such lofty speech in the league that has produced at least 9 BCS Champions. 7 in a row.
Please carry on.

True, but to play devil's advocate, they ran like 98 plays. From an efficiency standpoint, we did pretty well. When you are getting turnovers, stops, defensive scores, and your offense is scoring at will, your defense is going to see a lot of snaps. More snaps equals more yards, esp against our backups.
