What do you think about your team compared to last year at this point?
I think my team is about the same, maybe a little worse, with some question marks I have with our back 7, but I think we definitely have upgraded our offense just hard to judge against the competition we have played thus far. Also could be misleading because last year at this time we had beaten teams like Oregon.

I think 2012 Alabama is just a little inferior to last year's team thus far. Just my opinion though.

defense - worse
offense - slightly better so far, expect more impr
ST - better, Cade Foster

Overall- worse, but better than I thought they would be at this point. So many guys are getting playing time and doing very well.

How can you say that?

Look at the stats.

Same... Most of our fans are under the impression that beating the tar out of SMU means something.

Most of them also failed to notice our inconsistency. Our D looked ok for the most part. I can't understand why our offense is so wheels off with all the talent we have though.

In the second half, we did a better job at exploiting 'the play after the play' to to speak. Finding open areas in the D after the play breaks down.

I'd also say our special teams was better with the exception of the missed field goal and blocked one.

Stats only show so much, and with a very small sample size they're almost useless. Basing my opinion by what I see on the field in comparison to last year. '11 DBs>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> '12 DBs. LBs were also better last year.

All this could change as the year progresses
