Any Spurrier-coached QB is gonna look good against UAB

Dylan Thompson just lacks playing experience that's it. It was just UAB. Shaw could only muster 107yds passing against the same team.

Thompson actually came to south carolina as a basketball player and to be honest fits more into the mold of a traditional spurrier qb. He knows the system and all the plays he just needs the experience.

I think he could repeat what he is doing against sec defenses because now instead of just stacking the box to stop lattimore you have to worry about the pass. We will be fine without shaw if it goes that way.

Wow, two threads for the same topic, lol...

For those saying it's just ECu and just UAB.....well, it is, but we play these types of OOC opponents pretty much every year, and it's the first time under Coach Spurrier that we've had back-to-back 500+ yard games, so it's still a good indicator.

We've won these games, but typically struggled to score points or have efficient offenses in them. IMO we've definitely turned it up a notch or two offensively, even with a back-up QB...

Explains why Connor Shaw looked so good against them.
