After watching Arkansas fail with their backup QB and Auburn not even have a backup QB - What happens to your season if your starting QB breaks? How big of an impact? I don't see anyone winning the SEC much less a title with their backup QB - but I could be wrong. Rivers might could do it at LSU

Based on one game against ECU, we're good

We don't use our QB much anyway

We probably still win 10 games

You're not going to factor in the Vandy game?

Hutson Mason doesn't have any significant playing time but I like what I've seen from him in mop-up duty. Christian LeMay has yet to attempt a pass though he was a top 5 QB by Rivals.

I like Brunetti. I would feel comfortable with him in the game. But not as much as Bo.

I'll take heat for this but Blake Sims is a damn good player. I could see us being favored in every game we played except LSU.

He's a much better passer than you may think. I'm looking forward to seeing more of him.

Auburn would be undefeated if they had him.

Ben Voogd could be our QB and we still would win 10 games.

I dunno. Our starter has 1 start, our backups have 0.

We literally have no one if Allen goes down Saturday. Brandon Mitchell didn't take any snaps this spring.

According to some of our fans Berkstresser (tBackup) is better than Franklin so we're good

I meant basing our backup QB for one game. Yeah Thompson didn't look comfortable in Nashville, but all of the sudden he was thrown in. Happens all the time, sure, but that doesn't mean you're always mentally prepared for it. Last weekend he looked much more comfortable, even if it was just ECU.

That sounds like us in 1998. After Randy McCown broke his collar in the Texas game, Branndon Stewart was the starter against Kansas State...problem was that there was no one after him. Had Stewart gone down SHANE LECHLER was the 3rd string.

Brunetti would be pretty good. Freeze is going to develop some system QBs that won't really work in the NFL but will put up numbers in college. His offense is based on easy reads and simple throws.

Our backup is a truck and moves just as well as JF. And he is by far the better pure passer and reader of coverage. So I find it hard to believe we take much of a hit if we lose JF. Other MU fans would disagree.

Morgan Newton has been demoted to third string (and now they're trying him at TE) so it'd be Jalen Whitlow if shite went bad. Or Joker would go on and burn Patrick Towels' redshirt.

We'd be fricked.

Has thrown more NFL TD passes than the other two combined

And likely more than many of the others mentioned in this thread will as well.

From what I've seen of Berks, he looks good. I would worry about his ability to run all the plays in our arsenal. Plus he looks like he won't move out of the pocket. The anti-Gabbert.
