I know we've all given you guys a tough time, but that was very impressive. Dare I say, very SEC like . But seriously, it was clinical and ruthless in the second half and it won't be an easy game when we play you guys in Atlanta

Diggin the respeck this AM But seriously, when Jarvis Jones made that INT, I was anything but clinical and ruthless. I haven't jumped around yelling like that since I was 12 and David Greene hit Michael Johnson in Auburn's endzone to send us to Atlanta. The old lady has seen some shite with me the past 5 years, but I think she realized yesterday what she is marrying into

I still think Murray hangs the receivers out to dry sometimes. I counted at least a half dozen passes that were too high. Having said that Jarvis Jones...man, what a beast!

I found myself wanting UF and UGA to win during the games

glad that A&M /Mizzou hung around and showed themselves worthy but in the end I was glad it turned out as it did

and UGA has some talent....

shite, last night was stressful enough. I just want Rambo and Ogletree back so we can take it to USCe and UF and seal the deal on this season. Vandy and UTk are going to be tough as well

Murray is what he is: a good, not great QB who occasionally has brilliant moments.

Fortunately, our defense proved that they can spot you 3 of our best players and a back-up and still be able to punch you in the mouth. That said, I'd be happy to not see Devin Bowman or Connor Norman on the field again this year

Yes, they were impressive. I recall some idiots writing them off after last week's performance against Buffalo. Some of those idiots were Arkansas fans...

I give Georgia all the credit after last nights game....but come on guys. Mizzou was working with a patchwork OL... also lost our best offensive lineman when Elvis went down. And lost other players throughout the game. Was missing our star runnning back from last year etc...

Point being, I know it's in style to talk about the players Georgia was missing, but there is two sides to every coin. We didn't have our full squad either. Wouldn't of changed the outcome of the game, but let's atleast be fair here when discussing this. Just sayin'

How the heck did he beat out Mettenberger?

And we spotted you 3 of our best defensive players, a back-up OLB, our backup RT/LG, and later on one of our NT's. Not to mention our freshman starting RT and RG were both playing hurt.

To me, that is more than an even playing field

Eh, I think the jury is still our on Mett. He has had a cuple of good games against inferior competition. Let's see how he does against a UF or Bama before we anoint him.

But my short answer would be that Murray just has a better rapport with his teammates and controls the huddle/game better. I think you can make the case that Mett could be a better QB, but Murray is a better football player

You're missing my point tyler. Nobody bothers mentioning Mizzou came into this game depleted also. It's all about the players Georgia lost. Not going to get into a pissing match about the game, or the two teams. It's meaningless now, and I won't make excuses. Just the simple fact being....Mizzou was shorthanded too and played a very competitive game for 3 plus quarters.

Again, clearly Georgia was the better team. Just think alittle better perspective isn't much to ask.

This is 100% accurate but oh well. We need to take our lumps and move on. UGA had lots of false starts and had to call a couple timeouts due to the noisy atmosphere. MU was winning for almost 3 quarters. We came to play, but UGA was more prepared and they deserved the win.

I'm sure deep down every SEC fan realizes the importance of solid play on both O and D lines, as it is always preached when they speak with fans of other conferences. I don't think our O Line will be solid until at least next year so this will be an interesting season to say the least.

And why oh why did we run the QB up the middle so much when we had so many receivers being covered by UGA's backups?

Answer is a four letter word YOST, and UGA fans complain of Bobo we have a clown running our O and he looks the part.

Yost is a puzzle inside a conundrum wrapped in an enigma to all of us, trust me.

It seemed to me that losing Elvis Fisher was the key. We were already down 3 guys from the 2-deep (4 if you count the one that left the team for health reasons before camp). When Elvis got hurt, they moved the center over to LT because he played there last year, and shuffling the line like that really messed up the flow of the offense. After that point, Georgia started getting a lot more pressure on Franklin. The lack of depth there really hurt us - but I'd assume any team would feel an impact from losing 60% of their starting OL.

But Congratulations to Georgia. They were able to exploit that weakness. Their defense, really the front 7, won that game for them. Good game for the first 3+ quarters!

Valid. And it was a hot night and both sides had a good many players go down. Our NG, Jenkins, was obviously cramping badly from fluid loss. It was a close contest regardless; the boxscore revealed 2 evenly matched teams. Mizzou had 1 more first down than we did and slightly more total yardage. The difference was pretty much Jarvis Jones in the 4th quarter.

Jarvis Jones made a huge impact.

But, I still think Mizzou beat themselves in this game. GA tried giving the game away in the fist half. Mizzou gave GA the ball twice inside the 5 yard line, thats 14 easy points. Plus the fake field goal fail that gave you a short field. I say that call changed the game more than anything one player did.

And yes, its a shame that the talk is on the missing GA players. Even just one or two less injuries on 0-line and Josey, MU has a much better year than they will have. This O-line issue isn't going anywhere, it will be a problem all year and potentially next year too. What a shame considering the talent on the rest of this team.

Jarvis Jones is an incredible player. And after our LT went down, we just didn't have the depth left to challenge him. Up until then, it was a really good game.
